Pray for Romania

This time last month my wife and I were in Romania. I prayed, that every where my feet stepped, the enemy’s head would be bruised and righteousness would spring up.

I decree: Many in Romania are going to start walking in righteousness before the Lord. This is the year of the beginning of triumph in Romania.

1. Let us pray into this decree. Lord, show your people the joy of following you in purity. Lord, let this be the year they get victory over sins that have ensnared them.

Hebrews 12:1-2 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

2. Freedom! Lord, bring freedom to your saints in Romania. Every man, woman and child that proclaims the name of Jesus is a saint and they need to start enjoying their freedom; the freedom given to honored sons and daughters.

3. Lord, we pray that the Christians in Romania will stand strong in confidence. Doubts will dissolve as they dare to believe the Word of God.

Who says to Zion, “Your God reigns!”

4. In Apata, Romania, where I was at last month, there is a church that is reaching out through the mountains of Transylvania with the good news. (Read the report http://freebalkans.blogspot.com/2012/01/romanian-outreach-2012-if-you-are.html) Let us pray for the saints that are walking upon the mountains, going to the villages and sharing the news that Jesus saves.

5. Let us pray for financial help so the good news can go even further. May every dedicated Christian worker have their cupboards full. Lord, bless them as they give.

6. It is cold, cold, cold in Europe. It has been below freezing for weeks now. Almost all of the northern Balkans has snow up to two feet. Lord, remember the poor. May they have heat in their homes. Lord, we just simply ask for fuel.

Romania has worst living conditions in EU - Romanian Times

Romania is among the EU countries with the worst living conditions, as 43 per cent of its population live in dwellings with no indoor flushing toilet, according to Eurostat data made public today (2/23/2011). Now this is really hard for me to believe (43%) but I did see it reported at another source.

1) Let us rise up and speak the name of Jesus over poverty in Romania. Lord, You said the poor would always be with us. Also, You said to give to the poor, so we pray for their needs at this time.

2) We pray that the Lord of the Harvest would bring in a material harvest for the poor of Romania.

3) Let us pray that extra attention be given to the infrastructure of pipes, sewage and drainage, even in the hard to reach villages.

Pray for Montenegro

Week of Jan 30 - Feb. 5, 2012

Montenegro since their independence have been making slowbut steady economic progress. There are still areas of great poverty, and manyrefugees from the Kosovo Crisis in the nineties continue to live here inbunkers and makeshift homes. There are only three protestant churches inMontenegro, with a few small home groups meeting along the coastline. - Reportfrom www.eurovangelism.org.uk

1) Let us pray for those three protestant churches.Lord, we ask for your great favor to move upon them. May their pastors bebrought up under Your wings.

2) Let us pray for the home groups. May they increasethis year. May outsiders see their love and want to be apart. “By this all will know that you are Mydisciples, if you have love for one another.” John13:35

3) Lord, we ask that this week You would manifest Yourselfto the evangelical pastors in Macedonia in such a way that they cannot deny itwas not You.

4) Let us pray for intercessors for Montenegro.That they would be obedient to the following scriptures:

“Thereforepray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”Matt.9:38

“So Isought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap beforeMe on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one.”Ezekiel 22:30

5) Oh, Lord Jesus, please turn Your face towardMontenegro. The situation is really bad there, so Lord, send spiritual relief.

6) Let us pray for grace. Let us pray formercy. Let us intercede asking the Lord to extend His mercy to Montenegro. Godwas going to destroy the Children of Israel but Moses interceded. People areliving in severe poverty, the mafia is stealing what they can and there are nomoral absolutes in the culture.

7) Let us pray for great spiritual and financialinvestments from Christians outside of Montenegro. Put Montenegro in theirhearts and stir them to give and/or go to help.

Pray for Macedonia (FYROM)

Macedonia is just over 20 years old but the Macedonians areproud of their new country. The video above shows the spirit of Macedoniansport fans as they sing their national anthem. As youwatch the above video try to envision someday a stadium filled with Macedoniansgiving praise to Jesus.

1) Let us pray for the sport fans of Macedonia. Howcan they be reached for Jesus? Maybe the evangelical churches could reach theyoung people by sponsoring sporting events. God has a plan for reaching thissector of Macedonian culture, may evangelist and pastors seek it out.

4) Let us pray that the Macedonian churches wouldseek the Lord as to how they can do goodworks before the lost this year. Lord, put Your anointing upon them so theywill shine before men. As others seethose good works, may all the glory go to the Father.

5) Let us pray for finances in the churches. Maythere be more than enough. First may a spirit of generosity rise up in thechurch members. Second that theChristians would be blessed with jobs and creative ideas to serve and trade inthe market place. May God’s people be blessed so the Kingdom can prosper.

Romanian Outreach, 2012

If you are following this series “Praying for the Balkans, Project”, you will find we are off track. We should be praying for Macedonia this week. The Romanian outreach I just came back from was intense, so seeking God and researching Macedonia will be scheduled for next week. Let me tell you about Romania and add some prayers at the end.

Thank you for your prayers. The outreach to Roma (gypsy) villages in Romania was a success. We were able to touch the lives of many. We targeted a village named Ormenis.

Here is a capsule of what we did.

The team of eleven people met at the airport in Bucharest on the afternoon of Thursday Jan. 12th. (Team: 7 from Texas and 4 from Berlin, Germany) We then proceeded to a Wallmart-type superstore where we begin to pick out coats, scarves, blankets, gloves and hats. We had twelve (12) overflowing shopping carts of items. After checking out we boxed them, loaded the vans and drove for about 3 to 4 hours upto Apata. We arrived at our hotel just around 10:30pm admitting we were very tired.

Friday morning we meet at our host church, City on a Hill (All this time I have been stating the church name wrong, it is City on a Hill not Church on a Hill). We had a time of meeting the team from the host church. Before we started sorting the clothing, we had a time of worship. My wife, Zuzanna (Susie), directed the sorting and re-boxing. (Her experience in retail clothing was so helpful) Also we sorted the boots and shoes that had been previously bought.

Friday afternoon we went to Ormenis, divided into teams and begin house to house evangelism in a poor part of the village. These people welcome you into their homes with no questions asked. (This type of evangelism would be really hard in America) It is amazing how humble and hospitable these people are. The team I led visited five homes. Our team prayed with ten people to receive Jesus. One of the homes that really touched me was where a middle aged couple lived. They could not afford electricity in their small home. Their son, daughter, son-in-law and their small child were present. The family was real sorrowful because their son/brother had just been sentenced to three years in prison. The mother was emotionally overcome by grief so we prayed with her and her imprisoned son. We then presented Jesus and ask if they would like to receive Him into their hearts. The mother and her daughter accepted Jesus. The sad part was that the men would not accept the Lord. To see someone reject the Lord like that was emotional to me.

Saturday we went back to Ormenis to distribute the items we brought. This was a massive operation where we again went house to house in the same area we had evangelized the day before. It was amazing to see the emotional response as these needy people received new coats, scarves, gloves, blankets, hats and shoes. Oh, yes, we also had some stuffed animals that my job had donated. With it snowing and the temperatures being below freezing, these items resulted in warmth for body and soul.

Sunday we ministered in the host church in Apata. In Romania, this is a large church for a village. Actually people are also bussed in and come on the train from other villages for the Sunday morning service. It was about a 3 to 4 hour service. The worship was great and our key speaker and team mate, Gary Billups gave an encouraging word.

The team flew out from Romania on Monday morning. We may never fully know how much Romanian lives were changed but we do know how our lives were changed. Although I was on the team that went last year, this year I think I received a deeper understanding of the spiritual and physical needs of the country.

For Prayer:

• Pray for the church, City on a Hill, as they now take on the task of doing following-up.

• Pray for this village of Ormenis. Pray that the seeds sewed will not be stolen by the enemy.

• Pray for European Initiative, who organized the outreach. May the staff be blessed as they continue to fulfill their vision to evangelize Europe. Lord, open the doors.

• Pray for those that gave to make this outreach possible.

Pray for the Roma (Gypsy) People
(Jan. 9-15, 2011)

I want you to pray for my trip/outreach to Romania where we will be reaching out to impoverished gypsies that live in the mountains. Also pray for European Initiative, a ministry based in Berlin, Germany that has organized this outreach. This will be the fourth year for EI, www.europeaninitiative.com, to sponsor this effort to reach those that have mainly been rejected in their culture. There will be seven team members from the Dallas, Texas area and four members from Berlin. I was the only one from America on the team last year. I am so happy to see my wife going this year; she in fluent in the Hungarian language and will be able to communicate with the Hungarians in the area.

We will arrive in the Romanian capitol of Bucharest on Jan. 12th in the afternoon. The village we are going to is about 200 miles north of Bucharest. On the way we will stop at a Walmart-type superstore and buy coats, scarves, gloves and winter hats. Enough money was donated for this purpose so we will almost buy them out. We will fill a large van up with these new items.

Late that evening we will arrive in Apata and go straight to the hotel. The next morning, Jan. 13th we will meet at the church we are co-operating with, Church on a Hill. We will then sort the coats, scarves, gloves, hats and winter boots. The boots/shoes have already been bought. The 13th, 14th and 15th we will go out to the designated villages to bring warmth to bodies and souls.

Ministry will include the showing of the “Jesus Film” in civic buildings and church buildings, house to house evangelism plus witnessing in the streets. The real exciting part is the house to house evangelism.

We go into a village and find a place to park the trailer full on clothes. Then we team up into teams of four, us foreigners and the volunteers from Church on a Hill. The volunteers help us tremendously with logistics and translation. Two of us will go to a home where we will be graciously invited in. These people are so friendly. We will spend thirty minutes to an hour getting to know them and then let the Holy Spirit minister to them through us. We believe many will get saved and healed. Most homes will be very small with no plumbing and a small stove that acts as the only heat. Most of these homes are just one room. After we have prayed with the family, the other two members of the team will come in and take the sizes of the people and then go to the trailer for the items to give them. Also there will be situations where we may go to a larger home where many families will gather.

Last year I went to a home where three families were gathered. The Lord blessed that house with 15 people giving their lives to Jesus. It was amazing.

So please pray for this outreach and the team the Lord is bringing together. Apata is in the Transylvania area of Romania. So the spiritual climate of the area is very oppressive.

1) Pray that the team will quickly get into unity and be ready to work together.

2) Pray that the Jesus Film will touch many hearts.

3) Pray for divine direction to the homes God want us to visit.

4) Pray for the softening of the people’s hearts.

5) Pray for a smooth and accurate flow of translation.

6) Pray for miracles of healing.

7) Pray for the casting out of demons.

8) Pray that the people will be set free from the bondage of the enemy.

9) Pray that the ground that our feet tread upon will be claimed for Jesus.

10) Pray that us foreigners, especially us from Texas, will adapt to the extreme cold quickly. (Estimated to be below freezing most of the time we are there.)

11) Pray for the follow-up after the foreign team leaves. May home churches and churches be organized in the villages. (Some of these villages already have a home church group. Our main purpose is to reach out to those in the villages that have not been reached before, especially the extremely poor. We will then connect them with Church on a Hill and let them establish home churches if the village does not have one.)

Over the Christmas/New Year holidays I heard threeencouraging prophecies:

· This year the Church will find its voice. Theworld will start to recognize we have answers and they will come seek theChurch’s help.

· This is the year of Divine Government. In theBible, 12 stands for proper government.

· In 2012 heaven is going to pierce earth, likebeams of light coming down to illuminate truth, spark revival and give extragrace to the saints. There will be stairways of angles ascending anddescending.

1. Let usthank the Lord for His protection, provisions and progress during 2011. Althoughit was a year of ups and downs the Lord was always there. As we were faithfulto the Lord’s call to pray, the Kingdom advanced with the earth being made morelike heaven.

Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come.

On earth as it is in heaven.”

2. Lord, wesubmit to Your guiding hand for 2012. We ask for the measure of revelationthat we can be trusted with for the Balkan countries.

3. Thank You Lord for all Your provisions thisyear; divine government, elevation of the Church and direct intervention fromheaven. Lord, we pray for mercy for the people in the Balkans. May You visitthat land. May You be lifted up and may they run into Your arms of Love.

4. Lord, Greece needs Your help. Their governmentis so messed up, corruption has been a curse, men are giving up because of alack of hope and there is a demand for a sacrifice from the people. Truly Greeceis a government that needs divine intervention. We pray for a healthy humilityto come upon the people of Greece.

5. We ask You Lord, to prepare the people of Greeceto receive a tough love. As they go through this time of breaking, may theycall upon the Lord for help.

6. We ask for a coming forth of evangelist inGreece. May the Lord stir up a fire and passion for the lost. May they be sentto the lost sheep of Greece. May the goats be converted.

7. Lord, let the anointing fall on theseevangelist. May they be fearless for the Gospel of truth.

8. Let us pray for the release of money to providefor these evangelist.

9. Let us pray for venues to open up for theseevangelist to preach to thousands and thousands.

10. Let us pray for Greek churches throughout theworld to have their hearts fully turned toward the country of their roots. Itis time to minister to the original tree. Although the leaves have blown acrossthe world, it is time for those leaves to be made into fertilizing mulch and bemounded up around the tree. (I know this may be a strange picture, but I see mulchbeing gathered from the far corners of the earth and it being placed around awithered tree. I see the rain coming from heaven and the nutriments from themulch soaking down in the ground to the roots.)

11. Lord, we pray that not only will GreekChristians seek to bring the Gospel back to Greece but Greek businessmen willsacrifice to mulch the tree.

Mulchingis the most beneficial thing a home owner can do for the health of a youngtree. Mulches are materials placed on the soil surface to improve soilstructure, oxygen levels, temperature and moisture availability. Properlyapplied, mulch can give landscapes a handsome, well-groomed appearance.

Mulchmust be applied properly. If a mulch is too deep or if the wrong material isused, it can actually cause harm to trees and other landscape plants. Mulchshould usually be 2-4 inches deep.

Pray forCroatia

Croatia is nationalistically a Roman Catholic country. The Catholic Churchhas to be credited for providing a representation and visual presence ofChristianity in the Croatian culture throughout the centuries. Although the atheistin the country discount the influence of the Catholic Church the fact is theystill speak for a lot of Croatians.

Let us use the Cardinal’s Christmas message and the statements of seniorstate officials to guide our prayers for Croatia.

Christian believers adhering to the Gregorian calendar were celebratingChristmas throughout Croatia on Sunday to mark the birth of Jesus Christ.

The Archbishop of Zagreb, Cardinal Josip Bozanic, led Christmas Eve Mass in StStephen's Cathedral in Zagreb on Saturday, telling the congregation to enjoythe nearness of God and not to be afraid.

"Our hearts are now illuminated by the Holy Spirit and we should not beafraid," the archbishop said. He invited the faithful to open themselvesup to God because "God's love is among us."

"The history of humanity is in God's hands, or more precisely, in the veryheart of God, even though sometimes it seems that it is run by thepower-wielders of this world," Bozanic said.

Bozanic also led Christmas Day Mass in the Zagreb Cathedral, which was attendedby senior state officials, including President Ivo Josipovic, Prime MinisterZoran Milanovic and Parliament Speaker Boris Sprem.

Addressing reporters after the Mass, all three officials extended their bestwishes for Christmas.

"These were messages of peace and unity. That is what we will need inCroatia, to respect ourselves and others, and have others respect us, to betogether in these difficult times," Prime Minister Milanovic said.

1) Letus pray as the archbishop said, that hearts would be illuminated by the HolySpirit and Croatians would not be afraid. Because of the economic situation,young adults are not sure of their future. Those that have saved for theirsecurity in their later days, now see that slipping away. Lord, may You takethe fear away.

2) Thearchbishop is trying to comfort the Croatian people by reinforcing the factthat the future is in God’s hands. He is making a statement to bring comfort.History shows that we are in God’s hands and He guards our destiny, not the“power-wielders of this world”. Lord, we recognize You have Croatia and itspeople in Your hands.

3) Letus pray for a realignment of Trust in Croatia. May the Croatian people learn totrust in the Lord.

4) Somany in Croatia still look to the Catholic Church for hope. As evangelicals wetend to only see fault in the Catholic Church. So Lord, help us to pray for theCroatian Catholic priest and the archbishop, Cardinal Josip Bozanic. Lord, helpthem to minister Your heart to the people. Lord, use them for Your glory in thepositions of leadership they have.

5) Thearchbishop refers to the fact that the country is not only in God’s hands butin His heart. Let us pray that the Croatian people would truly be comforted byGod’s heart. (I believe we can make a point of contact here. As we pray forCroatia, God will/is turning His heart to the people.)

6) PrimeMinister Milanovic, in his comments spoke of the need for peace and unity. Hereferred to the fact that peace and unity comes through respect; “…to respectourselves and others, and have others respect us, to be together in thesedifficult times," Let us pray into what the PM has spoken here. Lord, letthere be a return to honor. Let this start in the government. May thegovernment officials respect the wishes of the people, may the people respect governmentofficials as men and women positioned by God to keep peace.

The following verses are hard toswallow, especially when seeing corruption in our governments, but God promisespeace.

Romans 13:1-7 Letevery soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authorityexcept from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. Thereforewhoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those whoresist will bring judgment on themselves. For rulers are not a terror to goodworks, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what isgood, and you will have praise from the same. For he is God’s minister to youfor good. But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword invain; for he is God’s minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil. Therefore you must be subject, not only becauseof wrath but also for conscience’ sake. For because of this you also pay taxes,for they are God’s ministers attending continually to this very thing. Rendertherefore to all their due: taxes to whom taxes are due, customsto whom customs, fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor.

I want topull up two prayers we prayed this past October.

7) Lord,You can make Croatia a blessing for Europe. Lord, may grace be poured outthrough all the institutions in the land. We pray that promotions would come tothe Christians in the workplace.

8) …prayfor men and women of vision to also come forth this winter. Lord, bring outYour chosen ones. Open their eyes to see Your plan for Croatia. Release courageand assurance of their calling. Let them speak with authority to the demonsthat stand against the Lord’s plan.

Pray for Bulgaria

First I would like to invite you to visit Bulgaria’s capital city of Sofia by taking a Virtual Prayer Walk. http://pray4bulgaria.wordpress.com/virtual-prayer-walks/ If you do take this VPW you will learn of many things to pray about, not only in the city but throughout the country also. Bellow I have selected some highlights I think we should give extra prayer to.

Casinos are prominent throughout Sofia, offering an escape from daily life and the (false) promise of a quick financial gain.

1) Let us pray that the Lord would rescue many Bulgarians from the false hope the enemy offers. Gambling is a curse on any society. Let us pray that not only would these casinos fail but that the owners and workers would learn of the real hope the Lord offers.

2) It is sad to me as a Texan to know that “Texas Hold’em” is becoming a favorite tool of the enemy. Lord, we pray that You would command a blessing from Texas to Bulgaria.

3) Let us pray that a ministry will be raised up that concentrates on counseling and delivering Bulgarians from the gambling spirit.

We have prayed about this before but Let us again pray against corruption in government and in the marketplace.

4) Let us start by praying for righteous judges, men and women willing to stand up and do what is right.

5) Let us pray that the Mafia of Bulgaria would actually turn against itself. As they say “there is no trust among thieves”. May their empires fall apart due to infighting and a lack of trust.

6) The opposite of corruption is righteousness. Bulgaria needs revival and a return to Biblical truth. Lord, visit Bulgaria with humility followed by grace.

There are people in Bulgaria that are seriously praying for church growth. They have designed a church planting strategy that works to find “people of peace” to sew into.

7) Lord, we pray for these dear saints/intercessors that have been deeply burdened for their country. As they abide under Your wings, Lord, may they be blessed with intimate times spent in Your presence. Lead them to the people of peace.

8) We pray for these people of peace to be revealed. Let us pray that a hedge of protection will surround them and they will be delivered from the enemies grip.

9) Let us pray for a day when every city and every village in Bulgaria has an evangelical body of believers.

Pray for Bosnia Herzegovina

This film has two aspects that will draw movie goers. First, it was produced by Angelina Jolie, a well known movie star that has many fans. It is also the first feature film and directorial debut of actress Angelina Jolie Second, is the controversy surrounding the film. It is a story using as a back drop the 1990s war that tore apart Yugoslavia with Bosnia being one of the main battle grounds. 1) Let us pray that positive results for Bosnia Herzegovina would come out of this film. Let us pray that there would be hope not more division.

2) As a result of this movie, let us ask the Lord to motivate Christian intercessors to pray with boldness for B-H.

The following is from a former prayer directive dated Aug. 2, 2010.

Sarajevo, capital of Bosnia, is home to 400,000 people, 95% of whom are nominally Muslim. It still bears the scars of the war that tore apart Yugoslavia in the 1990s; bullet holes and bomb damage mar many of the buildings. Although much of the city has been restored, the people have not forgotten what happened. When a Christian organization, Eurovangelism visited in July of 2010, they laid to rest 600 bodies that had been found in a mass grave, victims of the Srebrenica massacre. The theme of the memorial service was “Never Forget” and this is at the heart of the challenge faced by the church in Bosnia.

In Bosnia Herzegovina people never forget their ethnic identity - Bosnian Muslim, Catholic Croat or Orthodox Serb. Religion and nationality are indivisible and to become an evangelical believer means turning your back on your identity, rejecting your people and betraying the memory of all that has happened. Yet people are discovering new life in Christ and becoming a part of one of the 25 churches in the country. In a country of 3.8 million people there are maybe 700 evangelical believers spread around the country. They meet in churches of 20 - 30 people, with just three larger churches of 50 believers.

1. The Srebrenica massacre is truly a scar on Bosnia Herzegovina that will take time to heal. Let us pray that the Lord would especially minister to the victim’s loved ones. What the devil intended for evil and division may it be turned to good. May Srebrenica be a reminder to all three ethnic groups in B-H, Bosniaks, Serbs and Croats, that war has innocent victims and peaceful solutions are worth extra efforts.

2. Let us pray that in Bosnia that to the “never forget” slogan would be added “but forgive”; “never forget, but forgive”. Those that forgive will be able to go on in life and defeat bitterness.

3. The report above says there may be 700 evangelical believers in the country, a country of almost 4 million people. This needs serious intercession. Pray that God would visit that country.

4. Let us pray for the Christians in B-H. May the Lord hold them in the faith and encourage their hearts. Lord, we ask for Your presence to be in their small gatherings.

5. Lord, send missionaries into Bosnia Herzegovina. Give them strategy to plant churches throughout the country. Break their hearts for this unevengelized land. Help them to learn the language.

6. There are different levels of missionaries; Let us pray for those that will renounce their present life and its comforts to truly go live with the people.

7. Lord, we pray that finances would be raised for the churches in B-H and the pastors and elders would know how to properly apply these monies toward the kingdom.

8. Let us pray for the city Sarajevo, the capital city of Bosnia Herzegovina. Ninety five percent Muslim is a curse that can stifle any city. The prayer is; Lord, give grace to the Christians that live there.

Oh, let your heart burn for Bosnia Herzegovina.

Pray for Albania

1. Lord, we thank You for blessingAlbania and letting freedom of worship come forth.

2. We pray that when the saints assemble,the Holy Spirit would hover over them, releasing revelation, gifting andabounding faith.

3. Lord, it has been a joy to pray for Albania. Come move in the hearts ofYour intercessors, Lord. May they declare with boldness, “Let the Kingdom comeforth in Albania”!

4. Lord, we ask You to disable the enemy in Albania; cut off his power inthe land. Lord, raise up a church that will kick the Devil’s gates down anddemand their inheritance.

Paul wrote of how he had preachedthe Gospel in Illyricum, the ancient land of Albania. (Romans 15:9)

5. Let us pray that once again Albania would be visited by apostles andprophets of great faith. Lord, send men and women that are convinced You areready to transform Albania.

6. Let us also pray that the apostlesand prophets that are sent will raise up evangelist, teachers and pastors. Evennow Lord, separate these unto Yourself for the work of the ministry in Albania.

7. Let us pray for the present churchesin Albania. May the churches be motivated to reach out to the culture aroundthem. Give them a plan to reach the lost.

The report is that 75% of Albanians in Albania don’t practiceany religion and identify themselves as atheists or agnostics. This goes forthe Muslims in the country also and is why they drink alcohol and eat pork. Atone time (around 1960) the Marxist government declared Albania the onlycompletely atheist country. Many decades before communism, a Nothern Albanianpoet, Pashko Vasa remarked, “Churches and mosques you shall not heed / Thereligion of Albanians is Albanism”.

8. Let us pray for a plan to reach the Muslims ofAlbania. Lord, since the Muslim respects dreams and visions, we pray that Youwould speak to them in this way. Prepare their hearts for those You will sendto love them.

9. Lord, we believe You are reversing the curse ofthis poet. Break the power of the enemy to keep these people in bondage to afalse nationalism.

Pray for Turkey (Week of Nov. 28 - Dec. 4, 2001)

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. ~ Galatians 5:1

His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms, according to his eternal purpose that he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord. In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence. ~ Ephesians 3:10-12

While praying for a direction to pray for Turkey, I was drawn to the above scriptures. Let us pray these scriptures over Turkey.

1. When Asia Minor was first evangelized, the evangelist, prophets and pastors faced many demons in that land. After the 4th and 5th century the Christians relaxed, and did not stand firm. Let us pray for the present Christians in Turkey, that they will stand firm.

2. The Muslim hoards came in the 8th thru 15th centuries and either drove out the Christians, made them pay additional taxes, sold them into slavery, or forced conversion. Let us pray that the Lord will raise up and send intercessors across Turkey to walk and pray over the land. May their prayer be restoration; “Demanding the demons leave and surrender their domains!”

3. It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. As the Christians suffer persecution, may they know within their souls the peace and freedom Jesus gave. Let us pray that they would draw near to the Lord, and have an assurance that He is with them. Lord, shine Your light into the camp of the righteous.

4. It is really hard to set up a church building in Turkey. There are not only a lot of legal loop-holes but negative attitudes from the authorities, neighbors and unbelieving family. Let us thank the Lord for the houses of prayer that have been popping up across Turkey.

5. Let us pray for protection upon these houses of prayer. May the faithful be found trustworthy so God can share His plan for Turkey with them.

6. Looking at Eph. 3:10-12 – Lord, You have chosen the church to bring blessings to people in the face of the enemy. God’s solutions in a culture prove His love and wisdom. As the present churches and houses of prayer stand firm in their convictions may the doors to the culture open for them.

7. There is a place where Christians make a radical stand for the Lord in order to bring in the Kingdom to their land. They usually have to face persecution, with some being martyred. Lord may the Turkish Christians have a wise boldness. Let us pray they would be strengthened as they hear God’s voice for direction and see Him do miracles in response to their obedience.

I am convinced that if you prayed along with these prayers, the satanic influences over Turkey have been weakened. Bless the Lord Almighty.

1) Once again let us pray for this church in Belgrade, Serbia. May the Lord open doors of ministry. May the Lord send the lost to get saved but also helpers that will help disciple the new Christians.

2) Lord, we pray You raise up “investor” for this ministry. Spiritually; intercessors that will stand in the gap. Givers; that will join the work in Belgrade through financial help.

News headline - "Islamic communities unification plan falls through”

3) The underlying motive of Islam is world domination with every nation being in bondage to Mohammad’s teaching. Lord, we pray that the Islamic leaders in Serbia would remain in confusion.

4) There is a part of West Serbia that is called Sandzak, where there is a majority of Islamic believers. We pray for confusion in that area. May the true motives of their leaders be revealed. Let us pray that attendance in the Mosque would drop significantly. (Тhe name Sandžak derives from the Sanjak of Novi Pazar, a former Ottoman administrative district that existed until the Balkan Wars of 1912, whereas Raška was the name of a prominent Serbian Kingdom)

5) Let us pray that the Lord would send a powerful witness into that area. Pray that the joy of the Lord would be released across that land. Lord raise up intercessors to plow the ground. Lord, send Your evangelist and pastors to plant seeds of righteousness.

6) Lord, we thank You for smoothing out relations between the Serbs and the Kosovars. You are a peacemaker, Lord. Although it may be hard to see with our eyes and understanding, but we pray that someday the Serbs and Kosovars will live peacefully together.

7) Let us pray that the Christians in both Serbia and Kosovo would set an example by having fellowship with one another.

8) Let us pray for Northern Serbia, the Vojvodina area. There has been much ministry in this area but there is much more needed. We thank the Lord for the Baptist and Assemblies of God for their many efforts and the fruit that has remained. There is a disunity problem among the pastors and churches. Let us pray that the curse of disunity would be lifted.

9) I want to return to a past prayer. Back in March of this year the Lord gave me a mental vision and ask me to pray into the vision. I saw five intercessors praying for six pastors to raise up and release seven evangelist to declare the Kingdom of God in Serbia. (5-6-7)

Pray for Romania

Nov. 2 (Bloomberg) -- Romania’s central bank unexpectedly cut its main interest rate as slowing inflation gave policy makers room to spark an economic recovery amid the euro-area’s sovereign-debt crisis.

In Romania the middle class is very small. In countries where the middle class is not strong, the economy is not strong. Romania has been blessed with foreign investments since communism fell but now it is time to build up the middle class.

First of all corruption and unreasonable government regulations can rob the middle class of progress.

1) Let us pray for reason to prevail in the government so small enterprise can flourish. May the Lord position men and women of good moral character into government offices.

2) Microsoft has been setting up technical framework in Romania to encourage networking and internet startup businesses. Let us pray for a technical boom that will bring prosperity and modernization.

3) Let us pray for the positioning of Christians in these technical fields; Christian led social sites, networking companies, broadcasting, etc.

Throughout all Europe, Romania is the most Evangelical Christian nation. Even during the communist days the Romanians defied the government’s atheistic dictates and tried to keep their churches open. The government came down hard and now a healthy appreciation of the spiritual is celebrated. There is still a long way to go before Romanian institutions reach acceptable moral ground.

4) Lord, thank You for Your special spiritual blessing upon Romania. May the seeds that have been sown bring forth abundant fruit. Let us pray that the churches would be respected by the government, nationally and locally.

5) Lord, we know the way You work; what the enemy tries to destroy, You restore to a better state. We pray for restoration of Romania to a country of blessing not curse.

Praise God 2 young people from our [Church], Vasile and Laura decided to marry on Saturday, 22nd October 2011. It has been a reason for great joy. We all could see their relationship start developing and now touched [reached] its goal.

Their marriage is a testimony in a very special way of how Jesus’ disciples love each other. Both of them grew up in [the village of] Augustin, Romania but in 2 different Gypsy clans: Laura is Lacatar and Vasile is from Hora. The Lacatars and those from Hora never mix up together and a common marriage usually is unimaginable unless God doesn’t change the hearts and minds.

Personal Note: Last year when I was in Romania, I did some house to house ministry with Vasile and Laura and I know them to have a great love for the Kingdom.

6) Lord, I thank You for this couple and their dedication to the Gospel. May they prosper in all they do. Let their marriage be an example to many.

7) Lord, we pray You would not just add to the churches daily but multiply daily. We so look for Your Kingdom to be established in Romania.

Acts 2:47b “And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.”

Pray for Montenegro

Montenegro recorded an increase of over 14% in tourist arrivals for September 2011 over September of last year.

Montenegro is a very poor country but things are changing. Investment has come and the beautiful coast is being developed. I remember being burned for the people in poverty in Montenegro years ago. If tourism is the answer then may we pray into it.

1. Lord, we trust that You are bringing a blessing to Montenegro. May the riches of the nations come to this small nation on the Adriatic Sea.

2. As the vacation/tourist industry develops, let us pray for Christians to go seek employment there. The Apostle Paul used his skill as a tent maker to finance and open doors of ministry. Let us pray that the Lord would send “tent makers” into Montenegro to be a witness.

This morning, after reading about tourism in Montenegro, I went to Youtube.com and started watching videos about the Montenegrin coast. I was especially attracted to the following video about the Bay of Kotor; http://youtu.be/FtgwzMecW1A. Although the lady’s English is hard to understand, the video’s scenery is amazing. I also went to Google maps and zoomed in on the bay.

Then it was time to go to church. During worship time at church I kept seeing that satellite view of Kotor Bay. I spent most of the worship time praying for the Bay of Kotor.

3. Lord, you created this beautiful bay on the Montenegro coast. Lord, the Bible says You looked out over the multitude and had compassion on them. Lord, we pray that Your compassion be poured out on Kotor Bay.

4. The last I heard was that there was a house church being established near there. Let us pray for the raising up of a church in that bay.

5. Lord, I know You answer prayer. I just believe You are hearing us right now and the Holy Spirit is about to move. Whatever embers of hope are already there, You are about to blow on them.

6. Lord, I thank You for the video (mentioned above). As the camera spans the bay from the mountain tops, I pray down blessings on to the towns and villages.

7. Let us pray that the Lord of the harvest will send labors to this bay. May the “Fishers of men” cast in their nets. Lord, send evangelist, use the “tent makers”, may many be compelled to go with the Gospel.

Pray for (FYROM) Macedonia

23 October is being celebrated becauseof the founding of the Macedonian Revolutionary Organization.

Back in 1893, on October 23rd in the house of Ivan Hadzi Nikolov in Salonica, 6young men gathered and founded the Macedonian Revolutionary Organization, whichhas later become a symbol and flag of the Macedonian struggle for freedom.

Later on, the organization was turnedinto Internal Macedonian Revolutionary Organization and its members werestruggling for liberation and independence of Macedonia.

The founding of IMRO marked the beginning of an organized Macedonian revolutionarystruggle, which with the Ilinden rebellion as well as the National Liberationmovement in the Second World War has resulted into the creation of theMacedonian State.

1) Letus pray for Macedonia as they continue to struggle at making their countrysecure in the Balkans and the world. Let us pray for people of wisdom to ascendto positions of authority for the good of the country.

2) Therewas a recent loan of 100 million EUROs to Macedonia to be channeled intobusinesses for the creation of jobs. Let us pray that this money would get intothe hands of wise men and women. Let us pray that more investment money would flowinto Macedonia. Let us declare that itis time for Macedonia to blossom like a rose.

3) Alongwith economic advancement there needs to be advancement in the Gospel. We seefrom history that the Gospel brings wisdom to a country. Pray that the evangelicalChristians would be the voice of hope for Macedonia. May doors of opportunitybe opened to the churches in Macedonia.

4) Lord,I ask for Your blessing on the evangelical churches in Macedonia. May the HolySpirit visit them with overcoming power. May the seeds planted there by theApostle Paul and his converts come forth in another harvest.

5) Lord,we seek Your favor for Macedonia. Let us pray for more intercessors forMacedonia. Let us fill the sensors before the throne of God with prayers forMacedonia.

6) Itis time for visions to come to the Macedonian pastors, business people andgovernment officials. It is time for their good deeds to be a memorial beforethe Lord. It is time for them to seek out the men and women of God to impartwisdom to them.

7) Lord,send your trained ones to Macedonia. Those that have been prepared for thistime. Let us pray for “tent maker” ministries to go to Macedonia.

The above Ipray will be judged by God’s called out prophets. I do feel it came from theheart of God but it should be judged. Sometimes there is that place of prayerwhere you see things in the spirit and you must proclaim it.

Pray for Greece

Praise the Lord, the Hellenic (Greek) government changed its politics in favor to Israel. Over the past two years the Greek government has been turning more toward Israel. I know of at least one church group in Greece that has been praying for Israel.

1) Lord, You said that those that pray for Israel, Your covenant people, they will be blessed. We know Greece needs a blessing at this time. May the Greek government make a covenant with the God of wisdom.

I want to give the rest of this prayer time to two prayer request I received from two intercessors in Greece.

This is a prayer request to the Lord that a sister in Christ redacted. I totally agree with her letter. Please take it in consideration, when you pray for Greece.

2) Please, pray that the believers in Greece will seek the Lord with all their heart and that the Lord will raise anointed leaders and teachers who will preach and teach His Word, and pastor the congregations, guided by His Spirit and not by their own spirit and understanding. Because, how far can a Church go without good leadership? We need a strong and holy church, to be able to set an example and to witness to people for Christ.

3) Please, continue to pray that the devil's schemes for this country will not prosper and that Greece will serve Jesus and will become known to the world as the country that loves and takes pride in Jesus and not in the false demonic gods of the ancient pagan times. For centuries, the human spirit [humanism] has prevailed in this country. Now is the time for the Holy Spirit to prevail.

4) Pray that the current economic difficulties in Greece will open the eyes of the Greeks to understand that "the wages of sin is death". That they will be fed up with sin, as they will understand where corruption, lies and injustice have brought the country and that their hearts will be changed and they will seek the truth and justice. That they will hunger and thirst for the Word of God and a huge revival will stir up the whole nation.

5) Pray that all men of corruption and injustice will be exposed and what they have stolen from public money will be returned to the state.

6) Also pray for believers and men of justice to be given positions of influence, so that they will help in putting an end to corruption and they will set up an example of justice and Christian life.

7) And please continue praying for our government to have wisdom and to be guided by the Lord when they make decisions for the present and the future of the country. And, if among them there are evil men, who intentionally harm the nation because they seek their own profit, these men will be exposed and will be cut off from the government.

8) Please, pray for a Christian state leadership in Greece. We would love to have a true and devout Christian leader in this country. We need a leader who will understand the Word of the Lord. There isn't such a politician, that we know of, in the Greek society.

9) May the Lord anoint a David (who is hidden at the moment) and bring him to the light, soon.

10) Finally, pray that Greece will be protected from the Islamic spirits, which seek to bring death and chaos, …

11) Pray that the government will find a way to deal with this issue and that these evil Islamic spirits will be bound and will not continue to harm the Greek society.

12) At the same time, please pray that those of the Muslims who have a heart for the Lord will find Jesus here and a huge number of them will be saved.

Pray for Croatia

In preparation for this prayer guide, I heard from two ministries in Croatia; One is Croatian Evangelical Outreach and the other Sion – House of Prayer for Croatia.

Sion – House of Prayer for Croatia is reporting that this is a New Day for Croatia. God is pouring out His Spirit through a women’s conference, youth conference, men’s conference and in a hunger for prayer. They report a non-ceasing out pouring of worship and prayer with many churches participating. Also there is a new unity among pastors and churches. They are believing that Croatia will rise up and be a blessing to Europe.

1. Oh, Yes Lord, we stand and believe with Sion for a mighty outpouring in Croatia. Where there is faith God will move. May they expect You to move like never before. Show them the extraordinary.

2. Pray that the church arise as God’s army and Bride, placed in an ordained place to show forth the Father to a broken culture.

4. Pray for the coming elections. Usually a nation gets the leader they deserve. Let us pray for an exception for Croatia. May God visit Croatia with great mercy, giving them leaders that have godly principles.

5. Lord, You can make Croatia a blessing for Europe. Lord, may grace be poured out through all the institutions in the land. We pray that promotions would come to the Christians in the workplace.

Croatian Evangelistic Outreach thanks us for our prayers and support as they witness for the Lord in the capitol city of Zagreb. They are asking for the windows to open and pour out a financial blessing. The building they occupy is old and cannot be heated properly. They need to move into a better building before it gets really cold. Also they are on the brink of being able to release a worship CD in Croatian but need $3,000 in order to produce a thousand copies.

6. Lord we know You planted that congregation in Zagreb over a decade ago to be a blessing to the country. There is an enemy holding this window shut, we rebuke him in the name of Jesus. May our prayers break the lock and let the Holy Spirit open the window wide.

7. Let faith arise in this church. It is time for the joyful sound to go out and not only bring in the lost but bring in money to house and warm the saints.

8. Lord, we pray that the CDs will be paid for and go out to the Croatian speaking people. Lord, attach angels to each one making sure they lift up joy in the hearts of saints and sinners.

I asked the Lord for a word from His Word for the Christians in Croatia. I believe the Lord led me to the book of 1 John.
1 John 1: 7-8 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

9. Lord, I pray you help the Croatian Christians to walk in Your light. May they strive to walk in purity having great appreciation for what the blood of Jesus has done.

10. Lord, let this be a winter where Your Word grows in them exceedingly. May this be a winter of the birthing of anointed teachers. I see the Lord filling Croatian saints with His word to the point their hearts burn to share it. Let the spirit-filled teachers come forth.

11. I was about to get ready to publish this, and the Lord said pray for men and women of vision to also come forth this winter. Lord, bring out Your chosen ones. Open their eyes to see Your plan for Croatia. Release courage and assurance of their calling. Let them speak with authority to the demons that stand against the Lord’s plan.

This is a unique area of Bulgaria where the Christians andMuslims live comfortably in peace respecting each other’s traditions and evencelebrating each other’s feast and holy days.

1) Lord we pray that thispeace will continue and spread throughout all Bulgaria. May the Christians reachout with love and may the Muslims continue to reject radical Islam.

2) The Muslims will only bewon by the love of Jesus. Let us pray that the Christians be given innovativeways to be a blessing to the Muslim people in Bulgaria and around the world. Lordraise up non-confrontive Christians, with a “love anointing” to reach out toMuslims. May they appeal to the God given peaceful desires of the human heart.

Now for the presenttragedy in Bulgaria-

There has been much tension in Bulgaria forthe past week. There was an incident that has fueled ethnic hatred betweenBulgarians and the Roma (Gypsy) minority. A Bulgarian young man (19 yrs. old)was believed to have been intentionally run over by a minivan. The van beingdriven by an associate of notorious Roma mafia boss Kiril Rashkov. Bulgarianshave been having mass rallies in many cities across the country protesting theincident and venting their hatred of the Roma minority.

The father of the victim insisted his son had been deliberatelymurdered, while the occupants of the minibus took refuge in the home of"King Kiro," before forcing their way through an improvised roadblockthat had been set up by local people, injuring other villagers in the process.Having been joined by hardcore supporters of Plovdiv football club, the inhabitants ofKatounitsa then set about burning and looting houses belonging to the Rachkovclan.

On Monday and Tuesday night, protests followed in many majorBulgarian cities, including the capital Sofia. Nearly300 people in total were arrested by the police after the two nights of rallies that unfortunately involvedwhat has been perceived as ethnic hatred.

3) Let us pray for God’speace. Ethnic strife is not good for Bulgaria. We pray for wise andrespected leaders to stand up and sooth the fears of the protesters.

4) Lord, help theChristians to have clean hearts in this mater. May the churches of Bulgaria rejectviolence, and only speak words of peace to both sides.

5) May this be a wakeupcall to the Christians to pray for Bulgaria. Lord, raise upintercessors that will seek for Your peace to prevail.

Sadly, corruption is not limited to business and politics,Research done in 2007 found that 40 percent of Bulgarians believe that highlevels of corruption also exist in the healthcare industry. (“Economic ProgramHistory 2007”, Center for the Study of Democracy, www.csd.bg/artShow.php?id=9262)

6) Corruption is a badproblem in Bulgaria.We have prayed against corruption in Bulgaria before. The word I havefor prayer, is “stumble”. Lord we pray that those involved in corruption wouldstumble over their own miss-deeds. Lord, set a trap.

7) Let us pray for ahealthy sense of shame in the Bulgarian society. May those involved incorruption be convicted until they cry out to God for relief. Lord convictthose in government: from local magistrates to the very president and primeminister, those crooked doctors and hospital administrators, also the streetthugs and the thugs living in mansions.

8) Lord, help the honestBulgarians to maintain hope and integrity in the face of corruption.

9) Let us pray for thepresidential and municipal elections on October 23. Righteousness ornon-righteousness of a nation is usually reflected in its leaders. May servantsnot crooks be elected on election day.

Pray for Bosnia Herzegovina

The fact is, Bosnia Herzegovina is a mixed up country. Three nationalities, two federations in one country; Three presidents from the three nationalities that rotate in the office. Some people say they are Croatian, some say they are Serb and some Bosniak, but they are all suppose to be Bosnian. After Yugoslavia split up these three nationalities in Bosnia went to war against each other. NATO and the Americans settled the war with the Dayton Accord. Most people think this settlement caused more problems than it solved. Also they have to agree that it did stop the killing and although the constitution is really crazy, at least there is no war presently.

1) Let us pray that Bosnians be able to put the war behind them. The Lord needs to work forgiveness into the people of all three ethnic groups.

2) Only revival can bring about a national change of heart. With very little happening spiritually in Bosnia Herzegovina, we need to pray for a miracle. Let us intercede for the Lord to have mercy on the country and open doors.

3) Let us pray for the evangelical churches, asking the Lord to shine grace upon them. May the Christians realize they are a “light on a hill”. The Lord has provided in His word the solutions for the country, let us pray the Christians would stand up in the culture and let their banner fly.

4) Let us pray for the Catholic and Orthodox churches, that the priest would turn from nationalism and seek to be used as part of the solution.

5) Let us pray for the Bosniaks, especially those that embrace Islam. Pray that they too would seek to live peaceably with all nationalities.

6) Lord, we pray for a plan to reach the Muslims of Bosnia Herzegovina.

7) Lord, we pray that you would send out labors to harvest the fields. Truly the fields are ripe. There is such a lack of hope in Bosnia. Lord, we ask that a message of hope would go forth in the land.

8) We pray that the churches, Christians and all the missionaries that the Lord sends would be so filled with hope that people would be drawn to them. Bosnia needs an out-pouring of hope.

Pray for Albania

Albania is the size of Belgium and has a population of about 3,300,000. In Europe, it is the one of the poorest countries and has the highest proportion of young people. It is also Europe's only predominantly Moslem country: 70% of the people have a Moslem background. About 10% are Roman Catholic and 20% Orthodox.

1) Albania has always been an isolated country; being up against the sea on one side and surrounded by a mountain range around its borders. The communist took advantage of this and kept Albania closed off from the world. Now that the door is open and the Albanians are free may they discover the real source of freedom in Jesus Christ. Lord, we not only ask for open doors for the Gospel to freely go into Albania but we ask that Albanian hearts be open. We pray against any spirit of isolation or exclusiveness.

2) Lord, it is glorious to see You move in the mist of nations. We do thank You for opening the doors to Albania. Let us pray for every institution; government and non-government to be managed with honesty, allowing freedom to worship, encouraging development of enterprise, respecting past promises, protecting truth in education, mainly policies that promote peace. There is new leadership arising in Albania. Lord we ask for men and women of principle to be raised up to lead the emerging institutions.

3) Lord we pray that truly a great light would come to the Albanian people. In Isaiah 59 the scriptures talk of “When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.” Lord we ask that You make the churches strong in Albania. Give them the strength to stand against the influx of post-modern culture and provide a redemptive alternative.

4) Let us pray against militant Islam and those that would want to stir up trouble in Albania. May there be peace between the religions. Although Christianity is classified as a religion, actually it is people just being like Jesus. May Your people Lord, go and do works of righteousness.

5) Let us pray for Albanian Evangelical Mission, a prayer and mission group raised up in the United Kingdom to reach Albania. AEM have been working for Albania since 1986. 6) Lord we pray for the present churches in the land. Give them shepherds that seek You and love the sheep like You love Your bride. Pastors and Priest, that are open to the needs of the people. Lord, give revelation that is Your wisdom poured out.

7) Lord we pray You send teachers into Albania and raise up teachers in the churches. The Christians need to know the blessings of living the Christian life.

8) Let us pray for the Muslim population of Albania. They are so special to the Lord, so may He send out labors into their fields, neighbors and businesses.

Pray for Turkey

Although Turkey is considered a secular state it is undeniably Islamic in culture and Christian churches are tolerated as long as they stay confined.

1. Ask the Lord to expose the lies and endless misinformation about Jesus Christ, the Bible and Christians that have hardened and deceived hearts throughout this land of Turkey.

2. Pray that the Christian fellowship in the Beşiktaş district of Istanbul will soon receive legal status as a church. Ask the Lord to bless the outreach of this exciting body of believers.

3. Let us pray protection over the churches in Turkey. We pray that the enemy will be distracted and confused.

4. Over the past five years Houses of Prayer have been organized to intercede and establish an open heaven in critical areas of Turkey. Let us pray that God would come down with transforming power to take spiritual dominion.

5. Let us pray for Gospel Radio being broadcast into Turkey.

a. Pray that many would tune in and be touched by the Gospel. May the Holy Spirit open their hearts to receive Jesus.

b. May Truth overcome the lies of the past.

c. Lord, we ask for undeniable confirmation in their hearts of their salvation.

d. Pray that many Turks would contact the ministries that are offering Bible correspondence.

6. Also there are many coming to Jesus through the Internet. Let us pray for Internet ministers that can use the Turkish language to reach the curious and searching. Anoint their keyboards.

7. Many of these radio and Internet converts are alone, surrounded by unbelievers. Lord, we ask that You spend special intimate time with them making Your presence very real to them.

8. The nation’s undisputed political leader is 57-year-old Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan – a Muslim cleric, onetime semi-professional soccer player, and former mayor of Istanbul. “We didn’t come to rule!” he says to admiring crowds. “We came to serve you!” Pray according to 1 Timothy 2:1-2 for this man and the government he leads. “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.”

9. There is a healthy “going forward” attitude in Turkey. Last year the country’s economy grew faster than all leading nations except China and India. Pray that this progress will benefit those in greatest need. Unemployment is high in the Eastern Turkey and among young people.

Pray for Slovenia

For the past six days I have been really sick from anoutbreak of singles. Thank the Lord, I really started getting better yesterday.I haven’t been able to do the research and meditation in preparation for thisprayer guide so I am going to rely upon a dear intercessor in Slovenian namedTodd. 4) Takingthe Gospel – Pray that the whole Gospel would be spread across Solenia –full of grace and love, serving needs, reaching the whole person with the GoodNews.

5) LikePaul before King Festus - Pray that Slovene Christians would be soconvinced of the truth of the Gospel that Jesus is indeed the one and only way,truth and life that they would share the Gospel boldly with their family andfriends.

6) SloveneMunicipalities – Slovenia is divided up into governed municipalities. Manyof municipalities do not have an evangelical church. A good start may be homegroups or Bible study groups. Let us pray for homes to be opened up to theGospel in these areas. God anoint teacher/pastors to guide the group even ifthey are just a few.

7) Let us pray for pastors and their families.Lord, we add out faith and intercede for these pastors and their families. Donot let the enemy strike down the leader.

8) Unitywill cost – To say “I need you” (1Cor. 12:21-22), or admit I was wrong, oraccept correction costs a person’s pride. Pray for genuine, humble repentancein the churches. Rray we would be willing to pay the price to be unified.

Pray for Serbia

First let me share the following letter from a pastor in Serbia.

Hi Jerry!
Next year election is coming up in Serbia. It seems that the present democratic party will lost the majority. And more national radical parties will get the power. That will mean departing from the pro European course. That can mean more ethnic problems and tensions with Kosovo.
The people are confused and disappointed.
Serbia has to come to face its past and to change we need brokenness and humility.
Kosovo question is quenching the life out of the people and they are blind and don't know that.
Spiritually everything is shaking.
Praying for new churches for spirit of mission.
Bibles schools in the land.
Several top leading pastors has been divorced this year. We need mercy.

Also I recieved an email of a missionary family that has had to leave Serbia. I won’t give their name because of confidentiality at this point.

1) Let us pray for the political situation in Serbia. It would be a step backwards if the radical parties were to win. Let us pray that the radical camp would go into confusion. Let there be no unity within those parties that still hold hate in their hearts.
2) Lord, we ask You for the placement of godly people in the political process of Serbia.
3) There is corruption throughout the institutions in Serbia. Lord, we ask for exposure of those that prey on the weak. Lord, let the fruits of greed be bitter for them.

Job 7:6 (NKJV)
“My days are swifter than a weaver’s shuttle, And are spent without hope.

4) Many Serbs are suffering because of lack of hope. Just like Job, they see this world passing swiftly. Every day without hope is just another day of death. Let us pray that the people of Serbia would find hope.
5) Lord, we ask that You put into the hearts of Your intercessors a fire for Serbia. Lord, You are the only hope for that land, please rescue them. Lord, there was a time when You would have destroyed Your people Israel but Moses stood in the gap. Lord, please raise up intercessors for Serbia.
6) Let us pray for the reconciling of marriages in Serbia. Let us start at the ‘house of faith’ and ask for the reunion of these marriages Pastor Sabo mentioned. Let them return to their first love.
7) There is hope. I just read a report from Pastors Nebojsa and Gordana Savic in Belgrade. They are being given interview time by the secular tv and radio stations to share healthy solutions for marriage and family. Lord, we pray your hand be upon them and give them much wisdom.

Pray for Romania

Maramures is a county in the northern most part of Romania. In my research I came across this area but could not find much information on it. That just makes me want to pray for the area even more. I could find no reference of an evangelical church there.

In 2002, Maramures County had a population of 510,110 and a population density of 81 inhabitants per square kilometre (210 /sq mi).
• Romanians - 82% (or 441,288)
• Hungarians - 9.1% (or 46,300)
• Ukrainians - 6.7% (or 34,027)
• Roma - 1.7% (or 8,913)
• Germans - 0.4% (or 2,012), and others.
Looking back: In 1910, 18.4% of the county were Jewish.

Maramureș is known for its pastoral and agricultural traditions, largely unscathed by the industrialization campaign that had been carried on during Romania's communist period. Plowing, planting, harvesting, and hay making are mostly done through manual labor. The county is also home to a strong mining industry.

1) Lord, we look to You for guidance as how to pray for the people of Maramures County. You know their needs; Lord, share Your heart for them with us.
2) No place is too remote or too traditional that the people can’t be touched by God’s love for them. Our God is faithful and He has already built into their culture a way that leads to His redemptive plan for them.
3) May the Lord anoint the pastors and teachers that He knows will be faithful to the people there.

Let us think about seed time and Harvest. The ground is first plowed. The sewer then goes forth and sews. The seeds are watered and nurtured. Then the plant breaks out of the ground and starts to grow quickly. The full plant develops and the fruit starts to appear.

4) Let us pray for the ground that the Holy Spirit and the intercessors have plowed in Romania. Let us also pray for the ground that is waiting for the plow.
5) Lord, all the villages in Romania that need an evangelical witness. Let us pray to the ‘Lord of the Harvest’ that He will send out the sewer with good seed.
6) Let not these witnesses give up in waiting for the seed to take root, but rather let them go forth watering, praying, making sure the ground is kept ready.
7) Let us pray for the seed to germinate. Let many people get saved in Romania. The Holy Spirit working in hearts to convict and the enemy being bound so the people can make full decisions.
8) Then the pastors, farmers need to protect and fertilize the young tender souls. Let the roots go deep into the Word and let them grow and grow.
9) Once the plant has matured the fruit appears.
10) Lord, we ask for Your eyes to be upon Romania and guide the Seed time and Harvest.
11) Let us pray for Intercessors that plow in the spirit, Evangelist that sew, Pastors and Teachers that water and nourish the harvest of Romania. Lord, may there be unity and singleness of purpose.

Pray for Montenegro

We are exhorted by the Lord to Pray for nations at the national level. 1 Timothy 2 is very clear that by doing so the people are able to live “a quiet and peaceful life”.

1 Timothy 2: 1-3 Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior,

1) Let us pray for the government of Montenegro. We pray for the elected and appointed officials, we ask You, Lord to direct their lives.

Pray for President Filip VUJANOVIC: A public servant that has been a prosecutor and in April 2008 was elected the first president of Montenegro.

Pray for Prime Minister Igor LUKSIC: First nominated to the office after the first PM resigned in December of 2010.

Pray for Dep. Prime Min. for Economic Politics & the Financial System Vujica LAZOVIC: Since 2006 - performs the function of the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs in the Government of Montenegro.

Pray for Minister of Economy Vladimir KAVARIC: In December 2010, he was elected for the Minister of Economy in the Government of Montenegro. 2) We pray for the bureaucracy and all government organizations. May each agency be filled with godly servants.
3) We pray for Christian friendly laws in Montenegro and respect for evangelicals.
4) Let us pray for the economy of Macedonia. Among the president and prime minister I listed two economic ministers above because I felt they need the Holy Spirit to hover over them.

Luke 19:16-18 (NKJV) Then came the first, saying, ‘Master, your mina has earned ten minas.’ And he said to him, ‘Well done, good servant; because you were faithful in a very little, have authority over ten cities.’ And the second came, saying, ‘Master, your mina has earned five minas.’

5) Let us pray for “good servants” for Montenegro. I quoted Luke 19:16-18 because it is a fact of history that in secular governments, money rules. Let us pray for good servants that will create a healthy and prosperous economic atmosphere for Montenegro.
6) Lord, we ask You to look over the land of Montenegro and hand pick Christians to go into public service.
7) Lord, we ask You to expose those that are cheats, liars, and covetous. Clean out the Montenegrin government of under-the –table dealing politicians.
8) Montenegro is a land of hope. Once the goodness of the people and the rich resources come into their prime, Montenegro will be a city on a hill.

Pray for Macedonia

Please read my Personal Note at the end.

Sitting down to pray for Macedonia I heard two words, Faithfulness and Courage.

Faithfulness: Hebrews 10:23 “Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for He is faithful that promised;)”

Courage: Isaiah 40:29 “He gives power to the faint; and to them that have no might He increases strength”

1) Let us pray for the Christians in Macedonia. May they stand even when things look bleak and dreary.
2) Lord, we pray they are reassured daily of Your great promises. Lord, we pray that You will intervene in their daily lives; showing Your manifested presence (undeniable acts of God).
3) May the Macedonian Christians stand fast and not waver in the days of trial.

The steadfast reassurance of King David:

8 I have set the LORD always before me;
Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved.

9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices;
My flesh also will rest in hope.
10 For You will not leave my soul in Sheol,
Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption.
11 You will show me the path of life;
In Your presence is fullness of joy;
At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. (Psalm 16:8-11)

4) Let us pray that the Macedonian Christians would determine to set the Lord before themselves daily.
5) May they know that the Lord is always at their side.
6) Lord, let their flesh rest in hope. May they have supernatural healing that will mystify the physicians in Macedonia.
7) May the Christians in Macedonia grow in faith and maturity. Make them strong, full of courage and ready to stand strong against the enemy.
8) The warrior spirit that once rested upon the Macedonian hero, Alexander the Great, let it now be spiritually applied to raise up mighty warriors of faith.

NEWS:
Eight soldier figures, representing a part of Alexander the Great's phalanx, have arrived
in Macedonia's capital Skopje, where they will be placed on the central square.

The bronze soldiers are "accompanied " by eight lions. All new sculptures will be a part of the grandiose composition involving the statue of Alexander the Great himself, who has been imagined as the forefather of the Macedonian nation.

Personal Note: Three years ago today (8-8-2008) I officially started FreeBalkans.com. Now for three (3) years I have systematically been praying for the Balkan countries. (freebalkans.blogspot.com) Actually it was about ten years ago that God told me to concentrate my calling of intercession on the Balkan countries. Up until Aug. 2008 I had prayed but not systematically. I want to thank you for praying with me. Often I get reports from the Balkan countries of God doing great things.

Here is what I am believing for the future. I believe the day will come when I will walk the land and see what the Lord has done, and see confirmed what He spoke to me in prayer. This has happened before in my life. Back in the 70s and 80s I prayed for Eastern Europe for ten years. Then from 1985 to 1988 I was able to spend four years there and was able to prayer-walk many of the cities. One thing I am convinced of, God is faithful and His leading has a purpose. I seen Eastern Europe when it was bound by communism and the faithful were few. Now when I have occasion to go there I am amazed at His faithfulness.

Pray for Kosovo

Kosovo is in the center of the Balkans. There is a big dispute over Kosovo as to whether it is still part of Serbia or if it is independent. We do not wish to get into that debate but rather pray for the people of Kosovo. Many spiritual seeds have been planted there and we need to pray that they remain and grow.

American and French peacekeepers were told Thursday to fire their weapons in defense if attacked at border posts on Kosovo's northern boundary with Serbia, a day after the crossings were set ablaze by Serbs armed with firebombs, a NATO spokesman said.

There have been days of mounting tension between ethnic Albanians and minority Serbs after Kosovo Prime Minister Hashim Thaci ordered special police units to take over two disputed border posts that were previously manned by Serb members of the police under EU supervision. 1) Tensions between Kosovo and Serbia are being stirred up again. Let us first pray that things would calm down.
2) Thank You, Lord, that no one was seriously hurt in the recent border unrest.
3) Let us pray that the NATO troops would actually work toward being peace-keepers and not take sides in the dispute.
4) Lord, we pray that You would raise up and put into position men and women that have the respect of both parties and could bring forth a peaceful and permanent solution.
5) Let us pray against the enemy and his plans to make sure there is no peace between the Serbs and Kosovars (Albanians). Lord, change hearts and raise up a new generation that will reject the hatred of the past.

Personal Story: In 1985 I went to Kosovo to visit a couple, John and Maria Angelic, who had moved from Serbia to start a church in Kosovo. At this time the church hadn’t been established but they were settling in. It was Easter Sunday and I remember thinking; “In America the churches are filled on this day but here in Kosovo there is no evangelical church to attend”.
Now this Report: The annual “Life for Kosovo” event at Easter was a great success, and Christians from across the country [Kosovo] travelled to the town of Gjilan to share God’s love in practical ways. The week of good work culminated in an open air Easter message service, which was very well attended! One person said: “It’s hard to believe that someone still will sacrifice his time and money in these days, for someone else that they don’t know”. (from http://www.eurovangelism.org.uk/)

6) Rejoice with me in the above report. This really thrills my heart because back 26 years ago the spiritual climate was dry as a desert.
7) Lord, this is all Your plan. You never gave up on Kosovo. Lord, continue to send Your love.
8) Let us pray that the heart of the Balkans will be healed.
9) John and Maria Angelic are now pastors in Hungary. Lord, I ask that you bless them and all others that gave of themselves for Kosovo.

Over my 40 plus years of being a Christian, I have seen seed planted and have witnessed fruit come forth. Never, never despise the small things you do or the prayers you pray for the Kingdom, God is planting a seeds.

Pray for the Roma People (Gypsies)

The Roma are a distinct people group with a common language and history. Often referred to as Gypsies, the Roma are the largest minority group in Europe, with a population of 7-15 million. Numbers are difficult to determine because the Roma are not usually counted in census statistics since their nomadic history and wartime persecution forced them to move without many of their documents.

The Romanians and the citizens of Rome complain about the word Roma being used but the term "Rom" means "people" in Romani, the mother language of the Roma.

Although the Roma never claimed to be Egyptians, the term "gypsy", which stems from "Egyptian", was given to the Roma by Europeans who incorrectly thought that they originated from Egypt.

Current News: Turkish Employment Organization (İŞKUR) General Manager Mustafa Kemal Biçerli has said İŞKUR has started implementing a program geared toward boosting employment for the country's disadvantaged people, including Roma.

1) We thank the Lord for the Turkish government having wisdom to help the Roma people. Let us pray the this will be a productive program and that the Rome will conform to guidelines.

I, Jerry Low, was able to perticipate in an outreach to the Roma population of central Romania last January. Our mission was to take shoes, coats, blankets and other warm items to the very poor in many villages. Also we shared Jesus and 87 people were saved. We parnered with a church there that has been reaching out to these villages for years now. Also I was in Serbia in June where I also seen a church with about half the congragation being Roma. I keep hearing other reports of many Roma people coming to Jesus.

2) Lord we thank You for bringing many Roma to salvation. Truly Lord, You desire that none perish. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9 (New International Version)
3) Lord, we ask for your direction for the Roma people. Do they become part of established churches or do they gravitate to their own culturally distinct churches. Let us pray that above all they will be cared for by loving pastors.
4) Let us rejoice in the beneficial things built into their culture that can be of redemptive value. Tight family units, tribal, honor given to patriarchal leadership, and culturally connected throughout every country.
5) Lord, let not materialism and individualism pull families apart. May they stay true to their family connections.
6) Tribal can be good because if one gets saved many times others easily follow. Lord, we ask for deep and true conversions and not just religious acts to satisfy others.
7) Lord, we ask that You speak directly to family and tribal patriarchs. Because of the respect afforded him many in the family will come to faith in You. Lord, send your word from family to family and from nation to nation. Isaiah 52:7 How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, Who proclaims peace, Who brings glad tidings of good things, Who proclaims salvation, Who says to Zion, Your God reigns!
8) With many gypsies coming to know Jesus in the past few years, and many churches springing up, there is a need for scriptural teaching and the operation of the five-fold ministry. Lord raise up more Bible schools throughout the Balkans to train those that are called to evangelize, pastor, and teach the Roma people. May the present schools embrace the Roma in their countries.
9) There are many Gypsy churches outside of the Balkans that are mature in the faith; May they be senders of missionaries to the struggling Balkan churches.
10) Lord, we ask that You release finances for ministry to and through the Roma people.

The more I pray for these people the more my heart is broken for them.

Pray for Greece

1) I know we are always praying for Greece’s financial situation, but that seems to be their national problem now. We need to pray that the Greeks will learn their lesson and not create huge entitlements in the future. They have promised more than they can afford. Luke 14:28
For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it—

2) There is much corruption in the Greece government. Let us pray for exposure of those robbing the public treasury which results in a lack of citizen confidence. - 1 Samuel 8:3
But his sons did not walk in his ways; they turned aside after dishonest gain, took bribes, and perverted justice.

3) Corruption can be exposed but there has to be righteous judges for justice to be served. Let us pray for righteous judges for Greece. Judges that do not take a bribe but adhere to the letter of the Law (original intent).

4) Let us pray for the use of the Internet and social networking to expose corruption. Let there be a new citizen raise up that will seek justice and have the boldness to speak against it. We pray for righteous nationalist that will demand the truth. Proverbs 13:11
Wealth gained by dishonesty will be diminished, But he who gathers by labor will increase

... the sovereign debt crisis in Greece has caused many to question the government support and tax breaks given to the Greek Orthodox Church. Some 100,000 people have joined a Greek Facebook page, "Tax the Church." Church finances, tax payments and assets lack transparency. However campaigners claim that [the] Greek Orthodox Church owns more land than any entity other than the state and owns 1.5% of the National Bank of Greece. The government spends 268 million Euros each year paying the salaries of 9,000 priests as well as pensions for retired clergy. The Church says it paid 1.3 million Euros in taxes last year. The Church says payments of priests' salaries are justified by the fact that the Church handed over 96% of the property it owned to the state when Greece became independent of the Ottoman Empire in 1821. Also several ministry buildings, universities and hospitals in Athens are on church property that is leased to the state for a nominal amount.

5) First of all I have to give an opinion before praying. First the state should not be paying the priest’s salaries, even though the church gave the government land originally. Second the church should not be in business to profit financially anyway; having a 1.5% investment in banks shows they are profiting. The fact they are leasing out buildings to the state is profiting also. Now I do believe hospitals and universities are better run by the Christian principles. It looks like the Greek Orthodox Church has set up a system where they are sustained by the state not its members.

6) Let us pray that the Greek Orthodox Church would stop using the state for financial gain.

7) Because of this church state union, corruption is in the church also. Let us pray against this unholy union. The church cannot speak against sin in government if they are part of the government. Because the Orthodox Church is corrupt like the government and because the Gospel is therefore perverted; Let us pray that God’s true believers would question church doctrine in light of scripture.

8) Lord, we ask that You would send the pure Gospel out across Greece.

9) Let us pray that Greeks would wake up to the fact that Jesus saves, not tradition.10) Let us pray for the Greek Orthodox Church. Lord, we ask for an invasion of the Holy Spirit.

11) For deep warfare for the city of Athens:

While I was in Athens, Greece on June 1st., While looking for souvenirs in the shops I saw vile sexual images displayed for sale, and most were at the level that children could see them. I kept hearing the word “vulgar”. I believe the Lord was saying, “There is a vulgar spirit over the city”.

Pray for Croatia
Summer time in Croatia along the Adriatic Sea coast is packed with mainly European vacationers.

Every year I pray for outreach to these vacationers. I hope one of these days to actually participate on one of these outreaches. The amazing thing is that exactly 25 years ago this week I was visiting that coast. Zuzanna and I were in Pula for a Christian conference. I remember this well because the next week on July 19th we were married.

God has given Croatia a beautiful coast and people come enjoy it especially during the summer. Tourism is Croatia’s main economic income.

1) Let us pray for those vacationing on the Croatian coast. May God communicate His love for them through His creation.
2) We pray that the Holy Spirit would reach out to these vacationers, as they are away from their work and routines of life. Holy Spirit, reach out to them and draw them to their Creator.
3) Lord, we pray that doors of ministry would open to these tourist. Let us pray for churches to send out teams to encounter them with the Gospel.
The Lord just showed me a mental picture of an Information Center set up on the side of the road. Christians manned the Center and they would help tourist with local logistics. Then they would give the tourist a free book to read; Maybe a novel that leads the reader to the plan of salvation.
4) Let us pray for evangelist that will go to the beaches. Give them strategies to respectfully present Jesus.

Matthew 27:1 “When morning came, all the chief priest and elders of the people plotted against Jesus to put Him to death.”

The enemy wants to stop God’s servants from delivering the Gospel to Croatians. The enemy is using government, media, and the Catholic church to ridicule evangelical churches. The politicians and priest have plotted together to keep things the way they are.
5) Let us rebuke the enemy and his ability to dilute the Gospel. Revelation 3:16 “So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth.”
6) Let us pray for the reversal of all that luke-warmness has caused: no moral standards, corruption in government and business, broken marriages, disillusioned youth, drugs, alcoholism, etc.
7) Let us pray for the pastors of Croatia as they labor for the Lord under heavy pressure. Reassure them that their sacrifice is not in vain.

Pray for Bulgaria

Not to judge the Orthodox Church, but even before Communist, their ritual practices had caused emptiness in Bulgarian hearts. Of all the Balkan countries, Bulgaria is responding more and more to the Gospel. The evangelical churches have the answers for empty Bulgarian hearts. It is positive to even see a great percent of parents favoring religious teaching in the public schools.

1) First of all let us thank the Lord, for many Bulgarians coming to Jesus. Lord, Give them teachers that are anointed to expound upon the uncompromising Word.

2) Let us pray for true transformation in the Bulgarian culture. May the thread of the Christian worldview run through all Bulgarian institutions.

3) Let us pray for teachers in the public schools to teach scripture in the religion classes and not church dogma.

4) In praying for transformation, let us pray for the Orthodox church. If only they would seek the power and freedom Jesus desires us to walk in.

5) Let us pray for the Evangelical churches. Pray that they would be a light upon a hill shining God’s love out to the Bulgarian people.

Isaiah 55:12 For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.

6) Let us pray for abundant joy in the Bulgarian Christians. A joy that overflows to their families, friends, work place and in the market place. Lord, show them how You desire to walk with them daily wherever they go. May they be known as the people of joy.

7) It is summer time and many churches are having summer camps for the children. Lord, we pray that You would visit these camps and set Your seal upon their lives. Set apart many to be the future generation that serves You. May they decide to follow the Lord with all their hearts.

8) Let us pray for workers for the camps. May they have the Lord’s heart and compassion for the children. May the Lord’s grace be poured out on these workers also.

9) Lord, we pray that all the money needed for these camps would be made available. Open the windows of heaven so all needs can be met. Lord, You do promise to bless those that give.

Pray for Bosnia Herzegovina

Week: June/28-July/3/2011

Facts: (From http://eurovangelism.org/)

• In Bosnia, nationalistic religions have replaced Communism as the prevailing ideology.
• Religious freedom is more theory than practice.
• Evangelical Christians = only 0.07% of the total population.
• Foreign aid is virtually the only source of income and unemployment is more than 60%.

1) Lord, we pray for an economic miracle for Bosnia. As prayer warriors, called by You Lord, we cry out for this destitute area.
2) Let us pray that national religions would fade and true worship would come forth in Bosnia Herzegovina.
3) Let us pray for prayer warriors and intercessors to be sent into the land.
4) Whatever has brought this curse upon that land, we rebuke in the name of Jesus and ask for life to come forth. James 4:7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
5) Lord, we ask for a spiritual attack on Bosnia Herzegovina. We call for the ministry of Michael the Archangel; Jude 1:9
Yet Michael the archangel, in contending with the devil, when he disputed about the body of Moses, dared not bring against him a reviling accusation, but said, “The Lord rebuke you!”
6) Let us stand up with our Savior and Lord and proclaim victory over the lies of the enemy that have robbed Bosnia Herzegovina of its salvation.

Banja Luka is the second largest city in Bosnia Herzegovina. The city lies on the Vrbas river and is well-known for being full of tree-lined avenues, boulevards, gardens, and parks. In the summer, there are many festivals where the temperature rarely gets over 27C or 80F.

There is only one evangelical church in Banja Luka. Pastors Sinisa and Olja Stojkovic often feel isolated from other churches and leaders. Let us pray for the Stojkovics and the church in Banja Luka.

7) Lord, we ask that first of all “joy” would fill their hearts. A contagious joy that pours out from the pastor, through the church and into the city. (Definition: Contagious, transmitted from one person to another either by direct contact with the person or by indirect contact)
8) Lord, I believe those festivals are there for a purpose; so the saints can go boldly into the culture and proclaim the Gospel. May the alcohol turn sour and the “new wine” release joy.
9) Let us pray that powerful prayer warriors will be raised up in this church. Let miracles flow in their mist. Lord, may Your manifested presence be in their meetings.
10) Lord let freedom come forth in the church. Freedom to worship, freedom to dance, freedom that binds disunity and causes love to be evident to all.
11) Lord, we ask that the freedom to create wealth be given to the Christians of Bosnia. (and the wisdom to handle wealth) Lord, use Your church to rescue this country.

Be assured, your prayers for Bosnia Herzegovina will be heard in heaven and will be applied to the Father’s plan.

Pray for Albania

Week of 6/20-26/11

The People of Albania are crying out for peace and reassance. The years of communism have left them empty.

1) Lord, we pray that You make a way for the Gospel to go out across Albania.
2) Lord, only You can satisfy the enemy heart. We pray for the moving of the Holy Spirit upon the land. Ask the Lord, to draw out the redemptive aspects of the Albanian culture. (The things the Lord has built into the culture that prepare them to receive the Gospel)
3) Pray for the intercessors the Lord has or will raise up for Albania. Isaiah 62:6I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem; They shall never hold their peace day or night. You who make mention of the LORD, do not keep silent,
May they cry out and remind the Lord daily of His mercies and grace for the people. May the intercessors not lose heart but have their faith built daily.
4) We hear reports of churches and ministries in Albania that are testifying of Jesus. Lord, we ask for favor among the people and the authorities.
5) Let us pray for pastors for Albania. Pastors that know the Lord itimately and will love the people with Jesus’ love.
6) Let us pray for the Albanian Bible Institute and all they do to prepare pastors and church workers. May the teachers be anointed to draw out from the Bible life transforming truths that are breathed upon by the holy Spirit. It is gratifying to be able to say that this has been a great year at ABI. Sometimes, when a school year starts, the students can seem like angels (I am SURE we seem the same to them). Then after they encounter the first problem or two, the new wears off quickly and we see the “real” them. So far this year, we have been spared such a rude awakening. This does not mean we have had no challenges this year. However, the group of students we have this year has been probably our best ever. They are humble, teachable and have a strong commitment to the Lord. They love Him and are growing in their relationship with him. They are serious about serving the Lord and are open to being discipled and becoming better equipped to serve Him. We have seen academic and spiritual progress in everyone this year. Their pastors are seeing a difference.

Please pray for new students to attend ABI this fall. We have begun reaching out to churches and individuals who might be interested in what we have to offer. The need for training is acute in Albania, yet the availability of God-called servants is not too plentiful. It takes great sacrifice to come to school. Many are not willing to pay that price in terms of time and financial struggle.

Pray for TurkeyTurkey has been a functioning republic since 1923 and has open elections and relative freedom of the press. With the present troubles in the Arab world, some leaders are said to be openly pushing for Islamization and an expanded role for the Muslim Brotherhood in Turkey.

1. Let us pray that Turkey’s leadership would not listen to radical Islamic extremist but fully embrase freedom of expression.
2. Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan was recently re-elected with an impressive 49.8 percentage. Let us pray that he will not listen to Islamic extremist but listen to those that truly seek peace and prosperity for Turkey.
3. Missionaries are not granted visas, so each worker must enter as a "tent-maker" or tourist. Let us pray that tent-maker missionaries would be willing to go work for Jesus in the Turkish/Islamic culture.

Two weeks ago my wife, Zuzanna, my daughter, Joy and I were in Turkey and we visited the ruins of Ephesus. At the time of the Apostle Paul, it was the second largest city in the Roman Empire. With an estimate of only 15% of the ruins being excavated, what we seen was impressive. I thought of Acts 19 and the mighty miracles Paul did in Ephesus. (Read Acts19, you will be fired-up to pray)

We know that Paul wrote the Book of Ephesians (letter) to the Church in Ephesus. Let us use the following verses to pray for today’s Turkish Churches.
Ephesians 4:11-16 11) And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, 12) for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, 13) till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; 14) that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, 15) but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ— 16) from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.

4. Let us pray that the Lord would raise up the “five-fold ministry” for the Churches of Turkey; apostles, prophets, evangelist, pastors and teachers.
a. Lord, let the teachers teach the uncompromising Word,
b. that the pastors would love and attend to the needs of the saints,
c. that the evangelist would be so burdened for the lost that they will proclaim the Gospel throughout the land,
d. that the prophets will hear from God to give encouragement to the saints,
e. and that the apostles will have vision and wisdom to give guidance to the Churches as a whole.

5. Let us pray “for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry”.
6. Let us pray for unity among the Turkish churches so these five ministries can be complete and flow freely; “but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head – Christ - from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.”
7. In the name of Jesus, we rebuke the enemies attempt to propagate disunity through “every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting”. Lord, we pray that selfishness and self promotion would be cut off. Lord, show the Turkish Christians how to love unconditionally.
8. Once again Lord, may Asia Minor embrace the Gospel. The saints of the Early Church prayed, believed, were sent out and were faithful to proclaim the Gospel in Asia Minor. Lord, we ask that you commission Your Church to do it again.

Pray for Slovenia
Personal note: I am still on vacation, presently in Budapest, Hungary – tomorrow in Serbia. Ninety percent of the time I am away from the Internet so I can’t do research. Also being around the family on vacation it is hard to have a quite time and hear from God concerning prayer points for Slovenia. There is a brother in Slovenia, Todd, who is a dedicated prayer warrior for the country. Each month Todd puts out a prayer guide for Slovenia so I want to share some of his prayer points for this week.

As we pray for Slovenia, let us pray following our Lord’s Prayer:

1. REVIVE – “Our Father who is in heaven…” Pray for God to revive and unite His people as one family before Him; for wayward Christians to repent and return to God as Father, learning to obey and trust Him; for fresh moments of prayer, seeking the throne of grace with persistence.

2. REVEAL – “…sanctify Your name…” Pray for the truth of God’s character to be exalted and honored. Pray for God to distinguish Himself from every false god and to expose every false thing spoken about Him. Pray for the word of God to be proclaimed in every people and place across the earth.

3. RULE – “May Your kingdom come…” Pray for many to be drawn by the power of the Gospel, to submit their lives to Jesus Christ. Pray for Christ’s followers to walk in the fullness of God’s Spirit so that they can live in the likeness of Christ. Pray for the Lordship of Christ to influence every part of our cities and societies.

4. TRANSFORM – “…and may Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven…” Pray for God’s people to bring the influence and blessing of Christ into every aspect of commerce, arts, education and governance in ways that bring lasting transformation. Pray for God’s wisdom to be upon government leaders, bring changes that increase righteousness and justice.

5. PROVIDE – “…Give us this day daily bread…” Be still before the Lord. Speak to Him confidently and listen carefully, as if face to face with Jesus. Set the desires of your heart beyond your own needs. Pray for the basic needs of food, water and health care for the poor, for the sick, for refugees and for children; that God’s people would become, by His Spirit’s help, agents of change.

6. FORGIVE – “…Forgive us our sins…” Pray for the Spirit of God to move in the hearts of people so that they will be able to see how God is grieved and how their lives are being destroyed by sin. Pray for the Spirit of God to empower people to abandon patterns of sin and find grace to renounce allegiances to powers of darkness.

7. RECOCILE “…as we forgive those who sin against us…” Pray God would break cycles of resentment of relationships between women and men, for reconciliation in marriages and renewed relationships of children with their parents.

8. LEAD “…And lead us not into temptation…” Pray for Christians to be filled with such love and zeal to please God that they are unmoved by enticements of materialism and sexual perversity, Pray that Christ would guide leaders of business, education and government so that the curse of corruption would be overcome.

9. OVERCOME “…but deliver us from evil.” Pray that God would restrain satanic powers, revealing the truth of the Gospel, liberating people to follow Christ; for deliverance from idolatry, witchcraft, demonic oppression and depression.

10. GLORIFY “…for Yours is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever.” Pray that Jesus would be honored openly, worshiped extravagantly and glorified globally.

June 12. GLOBAL DAY OF PRAYER – Join Christians in every nation today in prayer, confession, repentance, worship and asking God to move mightily in our day, now!

Pray for Serbia

It is time for Serbia to stand tall among the nations. Let Serbia’s colorful flag fly in front of international buildings, in conference halls and at state dinners around the world.

Pray these prayers as declarations; “here on earth as in heaven”. (Luke 11:2)

1. Let us pray for Serbia’s prestige. Lord, we know prestige is a virtue that is earned. Lord, release the force of good in the Serbian nation. Restore Serbia’s greatness, not through nationalism but through goodness.
2. Let the day come when Serbia’s national pride is reestablished upon the good works she has done.
3. Lord, Serbia needs intercessors. Men and women that will cry out night and day for the Lord’s mercy. Serbia needs prayer warriors that will cast out the forces of darkness, open gates of righteousness and hold the enemy in check. Champions, Serbia needs champions.
4. Where are the Daniels? Daniel devoted himself to prayer and was so trusted by God with wisdom that he affected the course of two empires.
5. Serbia needs restoration; Serbia needs to earn the forgiveness of its neighbors. Lord, we ask for the “helpful hand” of Serbia to come forth.
6. It takes strong families to make strong nations. Restore the families of Serbia. Turn fathers to their children and children to their parents. Let the fathers put down their alcohol and pick up their children.
7. Overall, Lord, we ask that Serbia will be blessed. Let the abundance of grain come forth. Let the hills and valleys bring forth fat sheep and cattle. Release in Serbia a spirit of discovery that will bring forth new inventions to stir up new industry. We declare that Serbia will rise up to be a blessing to Europe and the world. We rebuke the notion that Serbia will stumble off into a drunken and dysfunctional state.
8. Personal prayer: My family and I will be visiting Serbia the second week of June. May we be a blessing to family, friends and churches. This is not necessarily a ministry trip but when you carry the Hope of the world, God can open doors.

Pray for Romania

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has given Romania a 5 billion Euro line of credit for them to draw upon in case of an emergency. It is reported that the Romanian economy is expected to have 1.5% growth rate this year. Click Here for full story.

1) Let us pray that the finance ministers and captains of industry would not be greedy or have a knee-jerk reaction to borrow. Investment is good but investing on borrowed money is a trap.
2) Let us pray that the Romanian economy would not only gain 1.5% but 2.5% or 5.5% this year. Lord, you know where the resources are whether they be minerals, man power or ideas.
3) These blessings that are coming to Romania, lets pray that it will benefit all people, all the way down to the villager that brings wood out of the forest to sale.
4) Let us pray also for the pastors, priest and elders that watch over the Christians of Romania. Lord, You have charged them to care for Your flock, may they be good shepherds and not hirelings.
John 10:12-14 (New King James Version)
But a hireling, he who is not the shepherd, one who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees; and the wolf catches the sheep and scatters them. The hireling flees because he is a hireling and does not care about the sheep. I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own.
5) Lord, we ask that You bless the hireling with a job somewhere else and raise up true shepherds that love Your people.
6) Let us pray for the Romanian churches. May they have Fathers of the Faith, and young men and women that are submitted and teachable. May the leadership of each church be in unity with a pure love for one another.
7) As the youth programs are coming together for this summer, may all be done for the glory of God. May each worker have their hearts made ready to impart eternal truth into the lives of these youth. We pray that many young people will surrender their lives to You, Lord.
8) Let us pray for finances to be released to fund the youth programs; youth camps, street dramas, outreaches, etc. Lord, You know who needs to give, touch their hearts. Lord, we pray You would bless the workers, volunteers and givers by meeting all their needs.

Pray for Montenegro

(News)
BRUSSELS, Belgium --03/05/2011-- The European Commission (EC) will carefully monitor Montenegrin authorities' steps in guaranteeing security during the first ever Gay Pride parade in the country, scheduled for May 31st, EC spokesperson Natasha Butler said on Monday (May 2nd). She added that threats against event organizers, posted in Facebook, are raising concerns. Butler said participation by senior officials in the Gay Pride event would be a symbolic gesture supporting the fight against discrimination.

1) Let us pray against this event on May 31st that is aimed at displaying the homosexual lifestyle. First of all Lord, we ask You to confuse their plans. Pray that either the participation will be so small or just have to cancel. Second that Montenegrins would feel repulsive toward this event. Also let’s pray that godly men and women would reach out to those that identify themselves as homosexual.
2) This is a time of great change in Montenegro. Let us pray that there would be respect for the churches and the Christians by the government, market place, civil institutions, etc.
3) Let us pray against the sins of the past in Montenegro; sins of incest, wife beating, adultery, drunkenness, and child neglect. Lord we ask You to bring your healing touch to the people.
4) Lord, we realize there has to be Christians ready to present Your healing touch. Lord, prepare feet to walk in peace and anointed holy hands to touch the people. Lord, we are asking for the ministry of healing to cover Montenegro.
5) Let us pray for a summer of Christian outreach. Lord, give a burden to the Christians for their lost friends.
6) Let us pray for strategies to be released to the churches to reach out to the culture around them; youth camps, food programs, street drama, neighborhood outreaches, etc
7) Most of all Lord, teach the Montenegrin Christians to pray in power knowing You hear and answer in Your timing.
8) Let us pray for Prime Minister Igor Lukšić. Lord, surround him with godly men and women, those that love justice. Give him wisdom to guide the economy of Macedonia

Pray for Macedonia

- Macedonia, Conquered by Alexander the Great… ruled by the Caesars… oppressed by the Ottoman Turks… controlled by communists… and now an independent democratic republic.

SKOPJE, Macedonia -- Police have seized 10.9kg of heroin at the border with Greece, the interior ministry announced on Friday (April 29th). The value of the drugs is estimated at about 200,000 euros. Eleven people, including a police officer, were arrested during the operation conducted in co-operation with Interpol. For a long period of time we have been praying for something new in Tetovo. We had noticed a problem in terms of spending time with people in Tetovo. It is difficult for us to relate with them on a deeper level, because of the lack of a neutral ground where we met up with them.
We shared with you in our previous letters that we have on our heart to pray for a specific place (coffee house) that will be available all the time, and where people could come and relax, drink coffee of tea, listen the music, watch the movies, listen some of the teaching etc. That will be the place where will be easier to develop deeper relationship with them. To discipleship, share the God’s truths; help them understand more of social and moral principles.
So, after some time, God has led us to register a Non-government organization. We have made a project with the specific goals we (with God’s help) want to reach.

Macedonia: This month Stojan Petrovski shared with us how the Bible League
of Macedonia helps churches to train church planters. “They are called by God
to start new churches and to work in the Kingdom in Macedonia. On our training
sessions there are 15 church planters. Some plant churches where they live while
others minister in other places.”

Macedonian evangelicals make up less than 1% of the total population, among various language groups. “That is not so much a worry, as it is a big challenge in any place, at any time, in any language.” They see their mission as being “that the Gospel can be preached and that there are churches planted.”

The Bible League organizes different activities, like study Bible groups, prayer meetings, and the like. “For that we need workers. Those 15 people do their best as God has given them chance. However, there are still 13 towns in Macedonia without any evangelical witness. But the work goes on, there are 3000 people contacted, 50 families visited, 20 small groups started, teen classes have begun, and there are some 50 people who have given their lives to Christ. We received the following request for prayer and donations on April 6, 2011.
I have a special prayer request for Macedonia Teen Challenge. They owe the bank about $6000.00 US for the operation of the center.
Pray that the money will come in to them. They are in the process of starting on a business that will keep the program funded and they are doing paperwork on the property.
In Macedonia, all of this is expensive. Pray for Jonatan and Valentina as they go through this process. Working with the Government can be very stressful.

After reading the above reports, we see God is faithful to respond to prayer. Let us continue these prayers with thanksgiving and faith knowing God is faithful when we pray. This first week of May two years ago (2009), here at FreeBalkans.com, the Lord led us to pray the following for Macedonia.
1) [Acts 16:9] Let us pray that today’s Macedonians will again cry out to God to send missionaries like the man in Paul’s vision.
2) We pray for missionaries that are seeking God’s heart and are willing to act upon today’s “Macedonian Call”.
3) The “Macedonian Call” was acted upon in the first century and led to the eventual Christianization of Europe. Let’s pray that the Macedonians would seek another visitation from God for a new revival. Jesus in Luke 19:44 talked about a time of visitation and Peter in 1 Peter 2:12 did also.

4) We want to congratulate the police for intercepting those drugs. May there be lives spared because of it. May those caught give up the names of their sources and their distributors.
5) Lord, we ask that you help those that are working with Teen Challenge in Macedonia. We pray the windows of heaven will be opened and ALL their needs will be met.

In July 7, 2009 we had prayed for the following;
1) There are many towns and villages in Macedonia without an evangelical church. Lord send out evangelist and church planters to reach every area of the country.
2) Now we thank the Lord for Stojan Petrovski and the Bible League. Lord, continue to open doors for church planters to reach every city and village in Macedonia with the Gospel.
3) I just know that Macedonia is close to God’s heart. He used them in the past to extend His glory and He wants to use them again. Intercede for them to overcome.
4) May we all be motivated by this verse: 2 Timothy 4:8
Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

God really likes to hear us pray for others. I believe that in many cases He waits for us to pray before He acts. Actually when praying His will and acting on His will, I think we are in His school where partner with Him in expanding His Kingdom.

Pray for Greece

While in worship this morning (4/25) I felt that we should pray for the Greek government, especially with the present economic crisis.

Let us pray for the three branches of government; executive, legislative and Judicial.
1) Pray for President--Karolos Papoulias & Prime Minister--George Papandreou. Lord, direct these men to seek Your wisdom for the Greek people. Lord, You rule in the affairs of nations, so may these men be bend toward Your physical remedies.
2) Pray for the Legislative branch of government. Men and women are sent from the 13 districts and 325 municipalities to represent the people. We pray they stay true to their constituents.
3) The Judicial is always important to a culture. Lord, we ask that You guide the judges in their judgments, seeing that the law is strictly adhered to and justice established. May they be a key in rooting out corruption.
4) Corruption in government is very rampant in Greece. Corruption in business is also rampant in Greece. Lord, we ask for You to expose this corruption and transfer governance and administration of government, business and institutions to the righteous.
5) We know this transformation cannot happen without the righteous taking their stand. To be righteous is to do the right thing, even when it is unpopular and temporarily unprofitable. Lord, bless the righteous in such a way that all will see and desire to follow their example.
6) The churches and God’s people are commissioned with the task of influencing the culture. We pray that the churches would not shrink into their buildings and be like private clubs but speak-up in the market place and confront unrighteousness.
7) Lord release Your wisdom in the Greek churches to help the Christians to live righteous. May they be an example in their families, in their market places, with their productive skills, and in their civic involvement.

Pray for Croatia

Get ready Croats, Europeans and other people are coming to enjoy your coast. Every summer the Croatian Adriatic Coast is visited by thousands and thousands of vacationers.
1) Let us pray that the Croatian economy would capture, retain and wisely invest the tourist money. Let this year be an extra blessing for legitimate business throughout the land.
2) Let us pray for the tourist. May they have rest from their labors, enjoy their families and benefit from God’s creation.
3) Lord, release strategies to the churches - how to reach these tourist with the Gospel. We pray for labors for this special mission field. May the churches in the coastal towns and villages seek out ways to open their doors to the tourist.
4) May this be a summer when many tourist take a vacation and see their lives changed forever.

Summer is also a time for Christian youth and children camps, and the Croatian churches know how to put together summer camps.
5) Let us pray for the directors and volunteers. Lord, may they be chosen and inspired by You. May these workers have the love of Jesus for these children and the anointing of the Holy Spirit to minister transformation in their lives.
6) Let us pray for the finances so the camps can be conducted efficiently. Money for those children that can’t pay.
7) Let us pray for the Christian young people as they gather with other Christian youth. Many are from non-Christian homes or they are the only Christian in their school. May they be encouraged to live pure and holy in their environment.
8) We pray that the Christian youth would invite their lost school mates and extended family members.
9) We want to thank the Lord that Croats have the freedom to have these youth camps.

April 16, 2011 ZAGREB: Tens of thousands of people protested in Croatia on Saturday, a day after a UN court handed down heavy war crimes sentences for two ex-generals seen by many Croats as heroes.
10) Weather the Croats are right or wrong in the above matter is not the main concern; I just felt that we should pray that Croatia will put the past behind them. Pray that Croatians will ask forgiveness for their wrongs and not boast in divisive victories. May Croatia proceed with an intent to bless the nations.
Psalm 10:3 For the wicked boasts of his heart’s desire; He blesses the greedy and renounces the LORD.
Psalm 34:2 My soul shall make its boast in the LORD; The humble shall hear of it and be glad.

[Personal Note] I do not favor international courts. Countries should judge their own or countries should judge those they capture. International courts can assume god-like status.

Pray for Bulgaria

Bulgarians are really wonderful people. Of all the Slavic people, their history can be traced further back in time. But Bulgaria has some deep wounds that only God can heal.

Deception
Bulgarians have an unfortunate history of being deceived and lied to by foreign powers and, at times, even their own leaders. Over-all, anyone in politics is considered untrustworthy and this translates into apathy among the general public. A Bulgarian saying is “You can trust dogs, but you can’t trust people.”

1) Bulgaria has always been surrounded by more powerful nations. Bulgaria has been dictated to and what we call “bullied”. Let us pray for a sure foundation. Lord, help Bulgaria stand its ground in the mist of the nations.
2) Bulgaria has been content to eat the crumbs from the master’s table, now it is time for Bulgaria to sit at the table and eat off the good china.
3) The surest way to reverse a curse is to do the opposite of the curse; do the right thing. Righteousness needs to arise in Bulgaria. Let us pray that at all levels of Bulgarian society truth would be proclaimed and lies exposed.
a. Let the farmer give a true measurement.
b. May one neighbor not look on his neighbors with suspicion.
c. Lord, raise up righteous politicians that will strive to build trust among the people.
4) Lord, we pray that Christians would lead this transformation in Bulgaria. Actually it is only biblical truth that can stimulate righteousness and justice, therefore bringing trust among men.

Greed
Because dominating world powers came, took what they wanted and did not give back, the Bulgarians took upon themselves this same nature of greed. Even today greed is evidenced through business people that tear down historic buildings in order to build modern/profitable buildings.

5) Let us pray that greed would be replaced by men and women of integrity and generosity. Lord, show them the value of freely giving of their time, finances and ideas.
6) Lord, open their eyes to see how greed destroys relationships and causes disunity.
7) Lord, help Bulgarians to see and feel eternity in their hearts. The things of this world are temporal and will just fade away.
8) Let us pray for the Christians to step out in faith and give. Lord, You promised to open the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing on those that give. May there be an abundance of giving in the churches this year.

“The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness; According to the cleanness of my hands He has recompensed me."

9) Let us remember the children of Bulgaria. Let the Holy Spirit move upon their generation. May they grow up in true freedom; released from yokes of bondage in their souls.
10) Let us pray for pastors, church workers and volunteers as they prepare for the summer youth camps. Many children have been saved in these summer camps, so we pray for a double, triple portion this year.

Pray for Bosnia Herzegovina

Bosnia Herzegovina is a country that has went through a civil war, endured a lack of infrastructure; good roads, educational opportunities and disciplined civil government. Let us pray that the Lord would visit them and lift up their heads.

Psalm 24:

And be lifted up, you everlasting doors!

The LORD strong and mighty,

1) Lord we lift up Bosnia Herzegovina to You. In the spirit we lift the gates for them. As we pray we believe You are moving. Lift the gates so the Lord can enter. Lord, we give ourselves in prayer for this country.
2) First let us ask that the people of Bosnia Herzegovina would lift up their heads. Within their spirit-man they would yearn for hope. They would not look at the negative things around them but they would have hope rise in their hearts.
3) As the gates open, may a flood of good news pour in. Send missionaries Lord. Let them be burdened for the Bosnian people. Ready to face those negative things working in the lives of people and ready to point them to Jesus.
4) Lord, You are strong and mighty, especially You are strong in battle against the enemy. There are battles in the physical in Bosnia Herzegovina, Lord, You war in the heavenlies. Show us the battle; We will declare the victory.
5) Lord, stir the churches in Bosnia Herzegovina to pray for their country. With boldness, may they approach Your throne.
6) Show them the enemy, how he manifest himself, and what are his strategies in their country. Expose the enemy, drive him into the open for all to see his shame. May judgment come to the individuals that are being used by the enemy. But Lord, provide a door of redemption for the evil doers. Let conviction fall. May even the priest speak out against corruption.
7) Lord we pray that You would release Your plan for effective ministry to reach the Muslim population.
8) Let us pray for the release of resources to finance ministry to Bosnia Herzegovina this year.
9) Lord, we ask for Your grace to be extended to the children of Bosnia. Open the hearts of the Churches to the youth. Even now release strategies to minister to the children this coming summer; youth camps, street drama, Christian clubs, sports, etc.
10) Lord, we cry out in our spirits, “How long Lord, before You visit the hurting people of Bosnia Herzegovina.” Oh, Lord, release Your light into the darkness.
11) Let there be an everlasting door opened that leads to everlasting life, and that the people will know Who is the King of Glory.

We have a small church meeting in Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia-Herzegovina. If you are looking for guidance in terms of what to pray for, here are some suggestions:

1. Pray for a stable government that is favorably disposed to Christianity.
2. Pray that God will strengthen the disciples who are already in the country.
3. Pray that God will open hearts and connect those open hearts with disciples.

Pray for Albania

I have two scriptures for Albania.

Romans 15:19 (King James Version)
Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.

Luke 19:10 (NKJV)
“…for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.”

Paul says he took the Gospel to Illyricum, the 1st century name for the Albanian area. Jesus, speaking to Zacchaeus, clearly stated His purpose is to seek and save the lost, and Zacchaeus was a corrupt man in Israel.

1) Let us ask the Lord to burden us for the lost of Albania. This country once claimed it was the only true atheist country in the world and still many are in darkness. Lord, please don’t let them perish.

2) Lord, we pray that You would visit and bring salvation to the homes of corrupt men and women of Albania.

3) There are three aspects of missions; Pray, Send and Go. Lord, we pray that You send out harvesters and equip them with all they need to win the Lost of Albania.

4) Not only equip them financially but equip them with Your anointing to do mighty signs and wonders by the power of the Spirit of God. Do it again Lord, let the Albanians see Your power.

5) Lord, send the Holy Spirit to prepare hearts. Take their hearts of stone and turn to hearts of flesh.

6) Let us pray for the Muslims in Albania. Most people that call themselves Muslim there are not devout. When their hearts are softened, let them see Your power Lord.

7) Let us pray for the evangelical churches in Albania. Lord, give the churches favor among the people and the government. Show them how to reach their communities and villages.

8) May Your Spirit Lord rest upon the pastors, confirming Your call upon their lives.

9) Let us pray for the children of Albania. Let love flow out of the churches this coming summer. Lord, give plans and strategies to the churches for children’s camps and youth camps. Lord, release the money needed.

10) Lord, we want to see You visit Albania with Your manifested presence. Let a time of Peace and Joy rest upon Albania.

Pray for Turkey

The Selimiye Mosque is an Ottoman mosque in the city of Edirne, Turkey. The mosque was commissioned by Sultan Selim II and was built by architect Mimar Sinan between 1568 and 1574. It was considered by Sinan to be his masterpiece and is one of the highest achievements of Islamic architecture. The four minarets are the tallest in Turkey.

Edirne’s site and turbulent history were determined by its strategic position on the main route from Asia Minor to the Balkans. After a long and varied career, including being conquered by Constantine in 328 AD, the city was captured by Sultan Murat I in 1362 and served as the capital of the Ottoman empire between 1365 and 1453.

Of Edirne's Christian heritage, there remains two Bulgarian Orthodox churches: Saint George (dating to 1880) and Saints Constantine and Helena (built in 1869).

I felt compelled to pray for this city on the western edge on European Turkey. I searched the Internet for about two hours and could find no mention of an evangelical church in Edirne, Turkey. Present population, 142,000.

1) Let us pray for Edirne (e-DEER-neh):
a. I know the Lord always has a remnant. Lord, we lift up Your likely hidden saints in Edirne. Send someone full of the Holy Spirit to visit them and encourage them.
b. Lord let Your Word be preached, mercy extended and the people of Edirne be given the chance to repent.
c. Let the Christians find each other and unite in a Bible study or Prayer group.
d. Lord, light a fire in Christians of Edirne. I am thinking of the day of Pentecost in Jerusalem, fire fell on them and 3,000 was saved.
e. Lord, You can move through those Bulgarian Orthodox Churches. A priest, full of the Holy Spirit could lead many to You, Lord.

Missionary activities are still considered a national threat despite the existence of Turkish laws guaranteeing citizens the freedom to propagate their faith. Non-Muslim children are victims of discrimination at school. http://www.centrepointnews.com/?p=12097

2) Over the past few years the Lord has raised up some Houses of Prayer in Turkey. Thank You, Lord, for these houses of prayer. As they stand in the gap, we pray You give them breakthrough over demonic spirits in all their regions.

3) Lord, we ask for divine protection over the Christian children in the schools. May they be students that excel in academics and temperament; causing teachers and administrators to take notice.
4) We thank the Lord for Christian television and radio in the Turkish language. May the Lord bless all efforts to broadcast the Gospel into Turkey.

5) Let us pray for Turkish Internet Gospel ministries to be raised up to reach those Turks searching the Internet.

6) Let us pray for the Christians in Turkey. My they be able to live peaceful lives in the mist of Islam’s lies. Lord show them how to be examples of Your good works to their neighbors.

7) Let us pray for ASLAN International ministry. Pray for these dear labors that are living on the edge. Although they are rebuked, spit upon, cursed, and imprisoned, may they have strength within their minds and bodies to continue.
Ro. 8:18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
8) Lord, thank You for the great favor You give them with the people. We pray they also have favor with those in authority.
9) Lord, we pray that signs and wonders would follow them as they boldly go where You lead them to reach the lost and deceived.

They call us the persecuted church of Turkey. And yet, we're the happy church. The reason we're happy is not just because of all the persecution we've been through. 10) Satan cannot compete with the joy God gives His servants. Let us pray that the Joy of the Lord would rest upon His servants in Turkey.

Pray for Slovenia

2. Pray for governmental leaders to be interested in helping with the Nick Vujicic project especially with the costs of renting large halls. We need them to respond positively in the next few weeks so the halls can be booked.

3. Pray for media to be very interested in spreading the news about Nick's coming.

4. Pray for companies to be willing to support the project financially.

5. Let us pray for a harvest of souls through these five days of crusades in five important cities in Slovenia.

6. Pray that everything would come together as planned, that angels would protect the organizers and that all equipment needed would be in place and working properly.

7. Let us pray three things for the Christians of Slovenia:

a. First that they will be encouraged to rise above their difficulties and start believing God for great things.

b. Second that they will be learn the depth of gratefulness and be emotionally changed forever.

c. Third, that the Slovenian Christians would open their hearts to those that will be born again in Nick’s crusade.

8. Let us believe with the organizers, that this is a new day for Slovenia. Let April 2011 be remembered as the time when God visited Slovenia and changed a nation forever.

9. Across the Balkans the enemy sows seed of disunity among the churches. Lord, we pray that this crusade will bring unity among the pastors and churches. Lord, take the enemies’ seed bag and throw it in the sea.

The meetings will be in the following cities: Ptuj, April 5th. - Koper, April 6th. - Maribor, April 7th. - Kocevje, April 8th. - Ljubljana, April 9th.

Pray for Serbia

Serbia has been on a crooked path, this way and that way, let’s try this, let’s try that. When a plan gets hard to manage the Serb does not press on but blames someone else and tries something else; there was the Yugoslav dream, then Tito, and Milosevic was birthed, there was hope in Djindjic but he was killed.

1) Let us pray that Serbia will stop living in the past. Serbia can’t continue to blame Europe and the Turks for its problems. Let us pray that Serbia would get a vision for itself.
2) Serbia needs to take responsibility for its future and stop stumbling along like a drunken man. A drunk will lose his money and then lose his respect. Lord, help Serbia to look in the mirror and recognize its faults.
3) Lord, help Serbia to establish itself among Europe and among the nations.
4) Let us pray that Serbia would get busy developing a standard, a standard that will be respectively recognized by the nations. Help Serbia to stand on its own accomplishments.
5) There needs to be an attitude change. We pray that a proper alignment would come to Serbia. Pray that Serbia would reject the victim mentality and face up to its problems.
(The solution is not in the European Union; the EU is a trap. Although NATO was a humbling force, NATO is not to be surrendered to. Also Serbia can’t always look to Russia to be rescued.)
6) Let us pray that humility would come to the Serbian Orthodox Church. The SOC became a cultural institution long ago and needs to return to its first Love. Lord, purify that institution or let it fade into insignificant. The Serbian Orthodox Church has kept the Lord’s name but has no record of having moved in the Lord’s redemptive power.
7) There are many evangelical churches in Serbia moving in God’s power but they struggle with unity. Lord we pray for unity among the evangelical Christians.
8) I was in a prayer meeting a few weeks ago and we were praying for Serbia. The Lord showed me three things to pray for Serbia; The Lord said to pray for five intercessors that will pray for six pastors that will release seven evangelists in Serbia. Remember to pray for 5, 6 and 7 for Serbia. What I seen in the spirit was, five intercessors that start meeting and praying for the pastors of Serbia. The Lord will show them six pastors to focus their prayers on and those six pastors will get into unity and raise up seven evangelists that will spread out across Serbia preaching repentance and declaring that the Kingdom has come. Now let us pray for those five intercessors. (Dear praying saints, let the Lord show you this vision)
9) Lord, You know who those intercessors are. So burden their hearts for Serbia that they will give You no rest until those pastors come into unity. Lord release Boldness for this prayer.

Forgive me for coming down hard on Serbia but many times God could not bless Israel because of their “stiff necks”.

Pray for Romania

I was so looking forward to praying for Romania. If you have been keeping up with me you know that last month I was in Romania ministering in some villages. (You can read the full account and look at the pictures at www.freebalkans.com/Extra1.html)

The following report will also give light to a direction of prayer for us.

Romania has worst living conditions in EU - Romanian Times
Romania is among the EU countries with the worst living conditions, as 43 per cent of its population live in dwellings with no indoor flushing toilet, according to Eurostat data made public today (2/23/2011). Now this is really hard for me to believe (43%) but I did see it reported at another source.

1) Let us rise up and speak the name of Jesus over poverty in Romania. Lord, You said the poor would always be with us. Also, You said to give to the poor, so we pray for their needs at this time.

2) We pray that the Lord of the Harvest would bring in a material harvest for the poor of Romania.

3) Let us pray that extra attention be given to the infrastructure of pipes, sewage and drainage, even in the hard to reach villages.

4) Let us pray Joel 2:25
And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.
During the communist days the economy was devastated and modernization was put on hold.

5) I want us to pray for the village of Apata in central Romania and “Church on a Hill”. This is the church that organized the ministry to the gypsies in the villages in that area. The pastor is Eduard Rurolf and the youth leader is Gyuszi Simon. Please lift these people up to the Lord for protection and blessing.

6) Also pray for European Initiative out of Berlin, Germany that raised the money for the coats, blankets, shoes, etc that were given to the village families. There was a count of 87 people that were saved. More information on EI at www.einews.org.

7) Let us pray for the Gypsies in Romania. They are so open to the Gospel.
a. Let us pray that Christians will open their hearts to the Gypsies and go take the Gospel to them.
b. The enemy is waking up to the fact that many Gypsies are getting saved, so let us pray that the seeds planted will be watered and nurtured. We ask You, Lord, to put a hedge of protection around them
c. There are many needs in the villages; many adults can’t read, alcoholism, and yes, indoor plumbing is rare. The Gospel will give hope, inspire creativity, open doors of opportunity and enlighten paths to prosperity. Pray that the Gypsies would follow Jesus into a better life.

8) Also let the Lord lead you in prayer for the government, prayer against corruption, prayer that evil men and women be exposed, and not only meet justice but learn of grace and mercy their Creator offers.

Pray for Montenegro - - - - - -

1) Back during the week of Oct. 12, 2009 our prayer for Montenegro was:” Let us pray that the government of Montenegro would be directed by men and women of wisdom that can discern the global financial times and make laws that encourage invention, wealth building strategies and open doors to commercial markets. Actually Montenegro needs godly Men and women in government positions.”

Let us continue to pray as the following news shows God is answering that prayer in Montenegro economically.

Fifteen companies are interested in developing the Montenegro shelf of the Adriatic Sea – producing hydrocarbons. The ministry said "Basing on surveys done in the southern part of the Adriatic Sea, a lot of promising sites with commercially attractive oil and gas fields were discovered." In 2010, Montenegro government approved granting concessions for geological surveys and oil production. 2) Overall Montenegro is still very poor. The average family has a low income. Lord, we know You especially love the poor. We pray that the churches be given resources to give to the poor.

3) Lord, we ask that you choose out faithful men and women that will have the ministry of serving the tables.
Acts 6:2-3 Then the twelve summoned the multitude of the disciples and said, “It is not desirable that we should leave the word of God and serve tables. Therefore, brethren, seek out from among you seven men of good reputation, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business;

4) There have been many years of oppression from government and men with wicked intent. Let us pray what the prophet Isaiah spoke over Israel:
To console those who mourn in Zion,
To give them beauty for ashes,
The oil of joy for mourning,
The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;
That they may be called trees of righteousness,
The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified.”
Lord, we pray that Montenegrins would have their sorrows driven away and that they would dance in the streets full of new wine.

5) Lord, raise up men and women of God that will desire to above all walk in righteousness. Lord, we know that justice and anointing follow such men.

6) Many Montenegrins have an interest in spiritual things but when there is no healthy evangelical church they will turn to cults and witchcraft. Let us pray for Christians proclaim the love of God with boldness.

7) Lord, we are asking for hope to arise in Montenegro.

8) We pray for protection of the churches in Montenegro. When the Holy Spirit starts flowing through the churches some outside forces feel threatened.

Pray for FYROM Macedonia

Once again there have been clashes between the Macedonians and Albanians. (People groups; Macedonian 64.2%, Albanian 25.2%, Turkish 3.9%, Roma (Gypsy) 2.7%, Serb 1.8%, other 2.2% (2002 census)) On February 13th Two police officers and six youths have been injured in clashes between Macedonians and Albanians at the Skopje Fortress, …The two police officers were hurt by stones hurled at them. The local hospital said they provided six more people aged between 13 and 24 with medical treatment.

1) Let us pray for calming of tensions between the Macedonians and the Albanians. Lord help them to agree to disagree in peace.

2) Let us pray for common ground between Macedonians and Albanians. Help them to work together to agree on a progressive future that is free of bias.

3) Lord we pray for a peace maker that is filled with the Holy Spirit. Give the churches in Macedonia a plan for incorporating all people groups.

4) There are very few churches in Macedonia. Let us pray for evangelism to go forth in Macedonia. Lord, prepare the churches for increase.
a. We pray for unity among pastors; the casting down of envy, back biting, etc.
b. We pray that the pastors would submit themselves to holiness.
c. Lord, raise up leaders around the pastors to support the pastor.
d. We pray that the Christians would walk holy before the Lord so the gifts can flow through them.
e. Most of all we ask that the Christians would have a compassion for the lost.

5) Pray for the Albanians in Macedonia. Like Albania the Albanians are mainly Muslim but weak in their beliefs. Lord, give the churches a strategy to love these Albanians into the kingdom.

6) Over 30% of the people in Macedonia are out of work.
a. Let us pray for doors of opportunity to open.
b. Let us pray for productivity to take a leap forward.
c. People are going to find a way to make money even if it is illegal. Lord, we pray that the black-market businesses would dry up and be replaced by a righteous economic standard.

Pray for Greece - - - - - - -

Proverbs 22:7
The rich rules over the poor, And the borrower is servant to the lender.

Greece is broke and in debt. Greece is a servant to the lender.

Like many countries, the Greek government relies on borrowed money to balance its books. The recession has made this harder to achieve, because tax revenues are falling just as welfare payments start to rise. It doesn't help that, in Greece, tax evasion is commonplace and pension rights are unusually generous – http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2010/may/06/greek-debt-crisis-economy

This report from the Guardian is discouraging and alarming. Greece is the sick man of Europe and much prayer is needed to open doors of Mercy and favor from heaven.

1) Greece has made many mistakes but our God is a God of Mercy. Lord, you judge nations, so we lay Greece before Your throne and ask that mercy be extended.
2) Lord, we ask that financial wisdom come forth to save the country. Lord, bring forth the Christian captains of business. Give them strategies to recharge the economy.
3) The article above mentions tax evasion being commonplace. We are clearly taught in the Bible that disregard for civil law is a sin. A man that hoards and holds back due payments will be cursed. (This can apply to tithing also) Lord, we pray for righteousness even in paying taxes and tithes. (Prov. 29:2, Matt.8:9, 1Tim. 2:1-3)

The following are prayer needs sent in by a dear brother and prayer warrior in Greece, Spyros Karalis. (He had a long list so I had to edit for the blog space. I have added the bold text)

Thank you, dear brother, because you honor me, asking a list of praying requests for my country.

Here is what I think is important:
4) Thanks to the Father for good Greek and Jewish relationships. We pray to continue this trend especially in the Church of Christ and in all Greek society, because there are still strong anti-Semitic feelings among the Greek Orthodox, even among some born again Christians. There is too much false propaganda from the Muslims against the Jews in the Greek media. This falsely influences all the Greek people.
5) Lets pray that Greek and Jewish believers be united as one in the Lord, and make visits and invitations one another between them. We have been brothers estranged for a long time. I am sure that as Greek believers we have a special calling in order to provoke to jealousy the Jewish people by our love and commitment to them. 6) We see recently a new spirit of unity between Evangelical and Pentecostal Christians. Thanks to our Father for that trend. We pray to continue and establish a new era of unity and brotherly respect between all born again believers in Greece. A new unity of all believers for the evangelization of our people. Lord we do ask for Your prayer to be fulfilled, “that they may be one, as We are.”
7) We pray for a strong unity and respect between pastors, elders and everyone who works in the ministry in the Church of every Christian denomination. Prayers and friendship between them.
8) I have a strong feeling that our Lord has prepared a "Greek Orthodox Martin Luther". May this man appear. May he come from the inside, from the womb of the Greek Orthodox Church, some Orthodox theologian, or clerical, priest, bishop or monk, who fears only God, not men, with the spirit of Elijah or John the Baptist, and who will call all Greek Orthodox people to repentance, exalting only the Sacred Word of God, not human church traditions. Someone who has profound knowledge of the Greek Orthodox tradition and who knows the writings of the Greek Church Fathers. Someone who loves Israel. May this man appear in our days and may appear shortly. Yes, Lord, we join in calling out for this voice from within.
9) As kings and priests of our God, we call Him and His authority upon our country. We pray Him to come upon the sky of Greece and take His authority in our country. We invite him, “Come, dear Lord.” Take your authority that the Devil questioned. We want you, not the Devil that holds dominion now upon Greece. Lord, we ask for Your Kingdom to come to Greece.
10) “And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: Of sin, because they believe not on me; Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged." John 16:8-11 We pray for this about the Greek people.
11) We pray against ancient pernicious religious doctrines, Greek Orthodox errors: between them, sacramentalism that is magic (seven sacraments which only priests have authority to accomplish), worship of icons (strong feelings of idolatry) and worship of saints and the Virgin Mary (that is invocation of dead spirits, necromancy), against clericalism, (they made priests a special order in the Church, who became mediators between God and the believers, forbidding the simple believer to go directly in the name of Jesus to his Heavenly Father). We pray that all these satanic religious strongholds in the Greek Orthodox Church may come down in our days. Let us pray for those trapped in the false Orthodox belief that they are the only right church and all others are heretics. Lord, bring down the false oppressive spiritual authority of the Greek Orthodox clergy upon the conscience of the Greek people. May the Greeks begin to search in other places for the real Christian faith, and not turn to disbelief.
"The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, The haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, And the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day" (Isaiah 2:11).
12) We pray against political and social corruption in the Greek society. We pray against a spirit of racism that has come in Greece because of the illegal immigration, especially Muslims. The illegal immigrants are about 1,5 million people in Greece, while our population is about 10 million. We pray also against the uncontrolled illegal immigration that produces much of social stress.
13) We pray for the evangelization of Muslims in Greece. There are too many, and there is a danger of terrorist activity.
14) Common prayers, helping, worship and teaching between believers of every denomination. Little by little we want to become One in the Lord.
15) Let us pray for Bro. Spyros Karalis; Lord keep him in Your special care. Lord, bring many other intercessors to his side. Lord, I pray that You would draw men and women of prayer around him and may they be granted an open heaven.

Pray for Croatia

The week of Nov. 1, 2010 we prayed: Let us pray that the churches (of Croatia) would not shrink away into their buildings for the winter but would go into the marketplace to make friends and share the Gospel.

Croatian Evangelistic Outreach in Zagreb spent the month of December going to the streets to share Jesus. Two Saturdays they set up booths at the main train station, gave out free hot dogs and shared Jesus. Their church band played in the annual Advent in Zagreb at a time when the square was filled with people. More info. at: http://www.cce.hr/

Let us join in prayer again for Croatia.

1) There is still a few months left of winter, may the churches of Croatia continue to share Jesus in the streets and market places.
2) Romans 10:15 …How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! Lord, we ask a special blessing for those that have shared the Gospel this winter. Draw them near to You, Lord.

b. Lord, we pray for the empowering of ministers for the market place, Your people displaying righteousness to their co-workers and everyone they meet.
c. Oh, Lord, ethnic hatred is the curse of the Balkans. Ephesians 3:14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; The Gospel teaches us to love one another and forgive the past. Let us pray for forgiveness to start in the churches.
d. Lord, we ask that You deal with envy and jealousy in the churches. This is based on works and lies of the Devil. Lord, may the Croatian Christians love one another, especially toward everyone that speaks Your name.

4) We ask You, Lord, to cut off the spirit of Jezebel in the Croatian churches. Pastors are not to be dominated by unrighteous influences.
5) Let us pray that pastors in Croatia will see with holy eyes those things that are holding back revival in their churches. May they call their congregations to righteousness, raising a holy standard for the lost to see.
6) It is time to start planning Summer Camps for the youth. Lord, may this be a year when the camps are full of seeking youth. Bring forth creative, inspiring and anointed ideas to reach the hearts of the Croatian youth. Stir excitement in the workers as plans come together.
7) Let us pray for radio and television ministry in Croatia. Lord, open this door wide and let the Gospel be proclaimed in homes and automobiles. Pray for Bulgaria

Let us pray for the youth of Bulgaria.

There are two Youth ministries that have sprung up in Bulgaria that are multi-denominational in scope; New Wave and EMO.

New Wave is a Christian movement for youth and young adults. The highlight of the movement is an annual non-denominational summer camp. Each summer ‘wave’ includes contemporary praise and worship, teaching and fellowship. These three components are important. New Wave is making contributions to the Kingdom of God by raising up leaders in the areas of teaching, preaching and music ministry. They are also blessing the broader Christian community by developing music videos and other resources for use in local churches. New Wave has woven itself into the fabric of the Bulgarian Protestant Church, and is a vital point of connection and outreach for Bulgarian youth and young adults.

EMO, which is a Bulgarian acronym for Evangelical Youth Organization, began as a monthly prayer meeting of around 20 youth pastors and youth leaders. Their prayer time developed into sharing ideas and coordinating their various ministry activities. One development was an initiative called “Prayer 365”, which is an effort to mobilize Bulgaria’s Protestant churches to intercede for Bulgaria. By coordinating this initiative, EMO hopes to have at least one church fasting and praying for Bulgaria each day. They are also raising up a network of youth leaders throughout Bulgaria.

1) Let us just thank the Lord that He is moving in Bulgaria among the youth. The two reports mentioned above give great hope for the future of Bulgaria.

2) Lord we pray for unity among the leadership of both of these organizations. May they walk humbly before You Lord, giving honor to one another. Jesus said,
“By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:35

3) As the staff of New Wave sits down to plan the camp/camps for this year, Lord, first we pray that You will be in their mist. Lord, we ask that You supernaturally visit them with Your presence. Second, we ask Lord, that You will direct their plans. Give them much expectation to believe for a great baptism of fire for this coming summer.

4) Lord, we ask for an innovative spirit to flow through New Wave to branch out in new methods of modern ministry; such as music, videos, websites, web and radio broadcast, Social Networking, etc.

5) Lord, bless EMO as they stir up the youth to pray. Thank You Lord for giving their leadership a strategy for enveloping Bulgaria in prayer. May it result in a holy covering; Oh, Jesus, Your blood covering Bulgaria (as we say in America, this blows my mind).

6) Let us pray that the Protestant Churches would all open their doors to spiritually organized prayer. Oh, Jesus, open the doors to those Catholic and Orthodox Churches also. Touch the hearts of those priests, Lord.

7) I am so encouraged by Jesus answering prayer even to the point of beginning a movement. As you pray for Bulgaria and the Balkans, expect God to honor and respond to your prayers. He is preparing strategy to implement revival in the Balkans and in prayer we can hear Him give orders.

Expect Him to respond to all your prayers; He is listening intently to the unselfish prayers of His saints.

Pray for Bosnia Herzegovina

It is a fact that Bosnia Herzegovina has been established as a country. It will stand before the Lord in the hour of His judgment.

Revelations 14:6 -7 “Then I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth—to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people— saying with a loud voice, “Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come; and worship Him who made heaven and earth,...”

Bosnia-Herzegovina has perhaps the most complex, not to say contradictory, political structure of any country in the world, imposed upon it under the terms of the 1995 Dayton Accords.

The presidency of the republic rotates between a Serb, a Bosniak and a Croat. The presidency is responsible for foreign policy, representing Bosnia-Herzegovina abroad and fiscal and economic affairs. The governments of the two entities within the republic are responsible for all other internal matters.

President of Bosnia Herzegovina, Nebojsa Radmanovic
• 61 years old
• He is a Serb by nationality.
• He is married and is a father of two daughters.

1) Let us pray for the President of Bosnia Herzegovina:

a. Lord, we ask you give him wisdom to fulfil the duties before him.
b. Lord, we ask that President Nebojsa Radmanovic be surrounded by wise counsellors.
c. Lord, You know his spiritual condition; we ask that You draw him unto You.

2) Sarajevo, capital of Bosnia, is home to 400,000 people, 95% of whom are nominally Muslim. Let us pray for this city:
a. Lord, this is a city that abides in darkness. Lord, send a light.

b. Let us pray for Pastor Slavko Hadzic and his family.
- Slavko Hadzic planted a new church in Sarajevo in 2003. After seven years of prayer and hard work, today the church has 25 believers. Despite the challenges they face, Slavko’s church is trying many different ways of showing people God’s love and telling them about what Jesus has done for them. c. Let us pray for Pastor Tomislav Dubotovic and his family
- Tomislav Dubotovic is the pastor of the Baptist Church in Sarajevo and he also runs the Bible School in Sarajevo. He told us the church in Bosnia desperately needs a new generation of Bosnian leaders, and he is committed to training them and equipping them to take up the challenge of being a witness in this difficult place.

d. Lord we pray You protect these servants You have planted in Sarajevo.
e. May they daily be renewed in their bodies, souls and spirits.
f. The churches of these servants lack the financial funds to support their pastors. Let us pray for support money to come from abroad to help them until they can stand on their own.

3) Let us lift up the hands of all God’s servants in Bosnia. Help them to stay steadfast in their calling to preach Jesus to the people.

Pray for Albania

This may seem like a silly way to hear from God but; I was walking the halls at the college where I work, praying and asking the Lord how to pray for Albania. (With the busy-ness of the holidays I did not have the time to do adequate research on the present situations in Albania.) As I was walking the halls at work I stopped at a painting of modern art that had three images in it. First I noticed a man sitting on the side of a bed. He looked lonely and in despair. Second was a man standing on his hands upside down. The third picture was a man getting a hug from someone. So I ask the Lord, are You speaking something through this. So I sought His heart with these pictures in mind.

1) There are lonely and despairing people everywhere but let us pray for those in Albania. Lord, You are the giver of hope. We rebuke the spirits of suicide and ask You, Lord, to rescue those in despair.

2) Let us pray for a ministry to the suicidal, those emotionally and chemically effected. Lord, raise up a saint to lead this ministry, prepare them and anoint them. May they have the patience to deal with the patients, boldness in the spirit to come against the enemy and leadership qualities to inspire others to give hope.

3) There are people that are upside down. They have made plans and everything went wrong. Now they have lost wealth, friends and property. Lord, they need wisdom for their circumstance.
a. First I pray for the Albanian believers that have suffered great loss. You Lord, are a God of restoration, give them open doors of opportunity this year and the wisdom to acquire wealth, honor others and manage assets.
b. Then Let us pray that these believers that have been restored would seek to restore others.

4) Lord, we lift up the shy ones, those that have suffered rejection and that rejection has a hook in them. Shyness and being introverted is not of the Lord. May those that shrink into the corners be sought out and given honor. They have a part to fulfill, especially in the church.

5) Lord, we pray that the Christians of Albania would be set free to express You to others. Lord, come and embrace them and help them to spread Your joy by hugging others.
Ecclesiastes 3: 5 A time to cast away stones,
And a time to gather stones;
A time to embrace,
And a time to refrain from embracing;
3:7 A time to keep silence,
And a time to speak;

6) Let us pray for Albania to not be alone and in despair. We pray that Albania will not be upside down and that Albania would feel a special embrace from the Lord.
a. For the past century Albania has been an isolated country, not only because of their location but because during communist days their rulers intentionally isolated the country. Lord, we pray for a coming out. You have put talents into the Albanian people, so we call them forth to be shared with the world. In Your name Jesus, we rebuke any despairing spirit that is hanging over Albania.
b. Let us pray for economic transformation for Albania. As they totally shake off communism and move to a free enterprise market system. All economic policies that are upside down, may they be turned right-side up.
c. Let us pray for joy to fill the land. We pray that the people would not refrain from embracing but would embrace each other. Especially as You, Lord, embrace the country with a revival.

7) Lord, we want to see revival in Albania. Lord, empower Your leaders there. Give them boldness and unction to believe for an out-pouring of the Holy Spirit in the Land. Lord, double the anointing on Your servants.

8) Lord, we look for the day of Your power in Albania.

Through the greatness of Your power
Your enemies shall submit themselves to You.

Pray for the Gypsies of the Balkans

France recently deported the young mother and her family, along with thousands of other Roma, in attempt to rid the country of Gypsies. Several Christians were on hand at the airport to offer transportation and help the new arrivals connect with family members. Photo Terms of Use

The Roma are a distinct people group with a common language and history. Often referred to as Gypsies, the Roma are the largest minority group in Europe, with a population of 7-15 million. Numbers are difficult to determine because the Roma are not usually counted in census statistics since their nomadic history and wartime persecution forced them to move without many of their documents. They continue to be persecuted today and suffer from gross unemployment, discrimination and limited access to education and health care. However, the Roma have a zeal for life and a strong commitment to family. In recent years, they have put down roots and usually live in small communities. They speak the national language of their country as well as various Romany dialects. The Roma are one of the most receptive people to the Gospel in Europe. Having seen the effects of sin, abuse, family dysfunction and violence, they are ready to consider other alternatives.

a. Let us pray that other churches will follow the Baptist in meeting the Roma people at their greatest point of need as they return to their countries of origin. b. Lord, we pray that they not only resettle into a peaceful situation but also accept You and see peace settle in their lives.
c. Oh. Lord, You have put it in the hearts of Baptist believers to take the Gospel to the Roma. Let us ask for more open doors and join in rejoicing over the fruits of their efforts.

There are reports from the Balkans that many gypsies are getting saved. Let us Pray:

2) Lord we thank You for bringing many gypsies to salvation. Truly Lord, You desire that none perish. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9 (New International Version)

3) Lord, we ask for your direction for the gypsies. Do they become part of established churches or do they gravitate to their own culturally distinct churches. Maybe both, Lord, let not others try to push them one way or the other.

4) Let us rejoice in the beneficial things built into their culture that can be of redemptive value. Tight family units, tribal, honor given to patriarchal leadership, and culturally connected throughout every country.
a. Lord, let not materialism and individualism pull families apart. May they stay true to their family connections.
b. Tribal can be good because if one gets saved many time others easily follow. Lord, we ask for deep and true conversions and not just religious acts to satisfy others.
c. Lord, we ask that You speak directly to family and tribal patriarchs. Because of the respect afforded him many in the family will come to faith in You. Lord, send your word from family to family and from nation to nation. Isaiah 52:7 How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, Who proclaims peace, Who brings glad tidings of good things, Who proclaims salvation, Who says to Zion, Your God reigns!

5) With many gypsies coming to know Jesus in the past few years, and many churches springing up, there is a need for scriptural teaching and the operation of the five-fold ministry. Lord raise up more Bible schools throughout the Balkans for the gypsy converts. May the present schools embrace the gypsies in their countries.

6) There are many Gypsy churches outside of the Balkans that are mature in the faith; May they be senders of missionaries to the struggling Balkan churches.

7) Lord, we ask that You release finances for ministry to and through the Roma people.

Pray for Turkey

The reports are encouraging from Turkey that many are coming to Jesus. There is an invasion into the Muslim world and Turkey is a gateway.

1) Lord, first we lift up the brothers and sisters that have committed their lives “even unto death” to share You with others.
a. Let us pray for their protection, not only from the authorities but their families that have rejected them because they want to follow Jesus.
b. Lord, bless them as they have to have to leave their families for the sake of the Kingdom. They are truly worthy of much grace.
c. Matthew 10:37
He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. This is a hard verse, but let us pray for those that have to stand on this verse, may they have strength not to shrink back.

2) Lord protect those called to pass out New Testaments in the market places of Turkey.
a. Lord, we ask that angels would ride upon these New Testaments and direct them to the hearts that the Holy Spirit has softened.
b. Lord, protect these NTs from the eyes of devious Muslim zealots.

3) Thank You Lord for the prayer-houses that have been raised up in Turkey. Let Your power fall in their mist. Give them an open heaven in their dark surroundings.

4) Lord, we ask for the elevation of dedicated Christians to positions of responsibilities in institutions all over Turkey. We are asking for godly wisdom that sets in order secular systems. May these saints be found irreplaceable and honor will be given them.

5) Let us pray for the missionaries that the Lord has sent to Turkey. May they not be discouraged but that there would be a miracle for them every day. May their vision be sharpened. Lord, we pray for their supporters; May they be blessed and be assured they are part of Your fulfillments.

Pray for Slovenia

Let us pray for the Evangelical churches of Slovenia.

1) Slovenia is divided into Municipalities. Most of these do not have an evangelical church.
a. Lord we pray that You would call Christians to first pray for these unreached municipalities and then go take the good news.
b. Let us pray that the present churches would seek the Lord for a plan of how to reach these areas.
c. Lord we pray the Holy Spirit would start to prepare the hearts of the people to receive the Gospel.

2) Lord we thank You for the present evangelical churches.
a. Pastors are like channels for God’s redemptive love. Let us pray that the pastors would be true to their calling to love the people.
b. Redemptive love, how wonderful it is to have the Holy Spirit changing us into the image of Jesus. Lord, we pray that the Christians in Slovenia would not become stagnant but be continually seeking after Your holiness.
c. Lord, reveal Your Kingdom to them. May the Christians of Slovenia live different than the world around them.

3) Acts 4: 31 And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.
a. May this be the experience in the Slovene Churches. Lord, we pray that the Slovene Christians would make prayer a serious thing.
b. Lord, we are not asking for earthquakes but that You would be in their mist and endue them with boldness to share their faith.
c. It is all about sharing the love that Jesus has for people. May the boldness be an overflow of Jesus’ Love.

4) Lord, we just want to thank You for your love for the Slovene people.

Pray for SERBIA

The picture to the right is from the 90s and the Kosovo conflict. Many times this picture has been a point of motivation and inspiration for my prayers for Serbia. God wants to bring peace not rage to Serbia.

While praying and asking the Father how to pray for Serbia, I just felt like the pastors, their families and all the workers in the churches were very special to the Lord. Let us focus on those that give themselves for the Kingdom.

Psalm 132:4-5 “I will not give sleep to my eyes or slumber to my eyelids, Until I find a place for the Lord, A dwelling place for the Mighty One of Jacob.”
1. Many pastors and their families give of their time and resources to raise up a church. Many have to work a job and pastor at the same time.
a. Lord, we ask that their sacrifice not be forgotten.
b. Lord, hold them up when they become weary.
c. Keep them from the thief that comes to steal and plunder their resources and their health.
d. May they continue to be driven by the love for people, especially those in their city or village.

Psalm 132: 8-9 “Arise, O Lord, to Your resting place, You and the ark of Your strength. Let Your priest be clothed with righteousness, And let Your saints shout for joy.”
2. Just as King David prayed:
a. Lord, rise upon the churches in Serbia that were planted by Your sons and daughters and dwell among them, letting Your ark of strength be in their mist.to secure them and the buildings they worship in.
b. May Your priest and pastors be clothed in righteousness, being model citizens that are worthy examples of the Lord in whom they repersent.
c. Lord, may Your Joy dwell in the hearts of the Serbian believers.

Psalm 133:1 “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!”
3. Notice the exclamation point at the end of the above verse:
a. Lord, keep the pastors and priest in Serbia in unity.
b. Show them they are the building blocks that hold up the country. Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed because God’s mercy was withdrawn. Mercy Lord, mercy for Serbia.
c. Let there be times of coming together were pastors can share their needs, fears, and visions.
d. Let there be fathers of the faith raised up. (1 Cor. 4:15 “For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.”)

Prayer request from Pastors in Serbia.

From Pastor Viktor Sabo in Subotica, Serbia:
4. Pray for the leaders that they open up to each other because some leaders are going through severe problems due to the long isolation.
5. Last week I visited a Christian TV station in Timisoara, Romania. They are producing 24 hours long program daily. I was a guest of the director. I spend 5 hours with him and was interviewed about the state of the church in Serbia. The goal was to raise interest and prayer support of the Romanians believers. His name is Tudor, a man I like very much. He offered his help for starting a Christian TV program in Serbian language. I have no idea about this but Arpad my son has a vision for this and some other brothers in Serbia. This can be thing to pray about. Let us pray for radio and television broadcast in Serbia. Let us pray for Tudor and the vision God has planted in his heart.
6. I need very much a secretary beside me please pray that I can find someone.

From Pastor Daniel Kuranji in Novi Sad, Serbia:
7. prayer for the natural disasters in our country. Around a month ago there was a earthquake in Kraljevo where hundreds of people lost their homes. These days there were also floods in West Serbia. We want to pray for the protection and comfort of those who are affected by these disasters.
8. prayer for the distribution of shoe boxes (outreach of Samaritan’s Purse). In December, thousands of children will hear the good news. May that bring long lasting effects.
9. we pray for control over sports fans. violence is increasing… Groups that cheer for a certain team are under the control of the mafia and fascist groups. Those are the main sources of criminal groups. Pray for the ban of groups that approve of fascists, e.g. "Obraz" (translated as cheek) - two weeks ago they caused problems in the evangelical church in Nis.
10. For the recovery of the the economy in Serbia. There is practically no production. The building industry is blocked.

11. one thing that's been on my heart is my friend's pregnancy crisis clinic. As you may already know, abortion is quite a problem in Serbia. The people there just seem to be very ignorant about other methods of birth control, adoption, etc. So a friend of mine started a clinic years ago to counsel women and help them make informed choices. The clinic is doing well but they're always in need of supporters and donations. And in the near future, they would like to start doing sex education classes in schools, which is something the schools don't have right now. Eventually they would also like to handle the adoption process which is currently controlled by the government.
12. (Presently Katarina is in the United States) I told my friend I would try and raise some funds for them while I'm in the states and I haven't had any success so far. Let us pray that the windows of heaven would open for these babies in Serbia.

Pray for Romania

I think we can best pray for Romania this week by following this Declaration from the Alliance of Romania’s Families. THE TIMISOARA DECLARATION

Drafted by the Alliance of Romania's Families (ARF) on the occasion of its annual conference held at the Areopagus Center in Timisoara on March 20th, 2010 and open to the public for signature.

Based upon the foregoing, the signatories, Christians who adhere to the teachings of the Holy Scripture, the Holy Apostles of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and those who followed them and taught us the path to salvation, leaving aside theological differences, proclaim our common Christian values inspired by the Holy Spirit and strongly affirm the following:

a. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). The Christian faith that we proclaim is above all transient social transformations or the spirit of one age or another.

• Let us pray that Romanians would remember their strong Christian heritage and give honor the Jesus Christ, Lord of all.

b. This faith guides our daily lives and daily actions, at all times and in all places. It cannot be hidden. We cannot be Christians only when we are at home or only when we are in church.
• To be a Christian is to be different. Let us pray that Romanians would pattern their lives after Jesus and be like him in their homes, churches and especially in the market place.

c. In accordance with the Holy Scripture, we understand our duty as citizens to give to Caesar, that is, the legitimate leadership of the State, what is Caesar's, and to obey authority and the law, in so far as they do not conflict with our conscience and our Christian values.
• Let us pray that Romanians would honor the government and be examples of law abiding citizens where there is no conflict with scripture.

d. The family based on the marriage between one man and one woman is a fundamental institution of society and is created by God. It is an expression of the natural complementarity between man and woman, of mutual love and respect.
• The fact is God intended for marriage to be a picture of the correct relationship between Jesus and His redeemed bride. Let us pray that marriage will be protected by the laws of Romania.

e. As Christian parents, we have an obligation to our children to raise and educate them to be obedient to God. We are deeply concerned with the public displays of immorality which are allowed and even encouraged in the name of human rights and are tolerated without discernment.
• Let us pray that the families would take their responsibilities to guide their children into righteous and productive behavior. May the politicians of Romania stand up for moral decency.

f. The rights of parents are fundamental, foremost among them the parents' right to carry out the civic, moral and religious education of their children as they see fit.
• May Romania totally break away from the old communist idea that the children belonged to the state. Humanist would love for the educational system of Romania to embrace such a philosophy.

g. Every child has the right to be born and raised in a family comprised of a man and a woman.
• Now here is a switch; communism in Romania actually did not allow abortion – mainly because wanting to preserve Romanian ethnicity. Once they came out of communism abortion was allowed because of unwanted babies. Let us pray first that mothers would want to love and keep their children.

h. The right to life, beginning at the moment of conception and continuing till natural death, is a fundamental right of all human beings.
• Let us pray that the law would be changed to stop the murder of the innocent.

i. Freedom of religion and freedom of conscience are historical and fundamental rights.
• Any government that does not allow the free exercise of religion and freedom of conscience is under strong satanic control. This can even be where a only one religion or worldview is allowed. We pray that no one group or philosophy would be able to control the laws of Romania.

j. Human dignity is intrinsic to every human being, created in the image and likeness of God and takes precedence over any worldly authority.
• Every soul in Romania is precious to the Father. Jesus said we were no longer servants but sons and heirs of all the Father has.

k. In our involvement in political and civic life we support and work with those who adhere to the values in which we believe. Every elected official or representative must represent the individuals who comprise his constituency and assert their values.
• Representative government has been shown to be more just than any other type government. We pray that those representatives would adhere to the Christian beliefs and govern accordingly. Pray these representatives would be moral civil guardians not political opportunist.

In conclusion, we call upon the Romanian State and public officials to respect and take into account, in the drafting and implementing of laws and public policy, the values and social and cultural traditions of the Romanian people, themselves of Christian inspiration, in order to avoid conflicts, both of conscience or policy, between citizens and the authorities which hand down the laws.

NOTE: Timisoara is the city where the revolution broke out in 1989 that toppled communism in Romania. I was privileged four years before that (1985) to be able to spend a day walking the streets praying for the city.

Pray for Montenegro

Montenegrins are hurting.

UNHCR will advocate for the resolution of the legal status of some 24,000 displaced people in Montenegro whose current status impedes their full enjoyment of economic and social rights. This lack of status hinders their integration in the country.More than 2,000 Roma (Gypsies) who fled Kosovo during the conflict in the 1990s still live in Konik refugee camp near Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro.

1) There was many displaced people during the Balkan wars of the 1990s. Lord, we know these people are not forgotten by You. Let us pray that these refugees would raise their heads up from their severe poverty and have hope in God.
2) Lord, we pray first that angels would comfort them; second that Montenegrin Christians would reach out to the refugees. May the compassion of Jesus burn in the hearts of those to be sent to this harvest. Lord, we join with You in prayer to see Your love extended.

A week ago there was heavy rains for four days that caused floods in central and northern parts of Montenegro, causing severe damage, especially in three municipalities up north. 270 families were evacuated (around 1350 persons), and are in need of basic emergency relief items. The Red Cross of Montenegro has already assisted the evacuated population with some of these items, and plans to continue with the distribution, according to the development of the situation in the field.

3) Let us also pray for those that suffered from these heavy rains. Lord, may they look unto You for relief. May they enter into the principle of Your restoration where their rags are turned to riches.

Through Montenegrin banks there is reason to believe that bad loans of 1.2 billon Euros were made with no intention to be paid back.

4) White collar crime, blue collar crime, it is all robbing hope from the people. There is just so much corruption in Montenegro; the flow of drugs and prostitution is wrecking lives. Lord, we just look to You.
5) Lord, first we ask that criminals would be exposed. We pray that police, judges and prosecutors would not look the other way. If they do expose them also.
6) There is little or no standard of righteousness in Montenegro. Lord, start with the churches and purify Your people. May the institution of the church in Montenegro rise up as a place for people to find a hope of justice.
7) Lord, we pray for intercessors for Montenegro. Especially Montenegrins that will cry out for their nation to be saved. Oh, that they would cry out for a visitation from You, Lord.
8) Give boldness and wisdom to the Christians to speak and stand against injustice. Lord, I feel that there are three evangelist being raised up for this purpose. The country will need more than three but these three will be set apart to spearhead evangelism in Montenegro.

9) Lord, let us not forget the children. Let them not go the way of their fathers, but actually be changed and bring their fathers with them.
10) Lord, we just thank You for Your love for Montenegro. Help us to feel it in our prayers.

Personal prayer need: Pray with me about a trip to Romania in January 2011. There is a group going to the gypsies of northern Romania to distribute coats and blankets for the cold winter and my daughter and I are praying about going. I will probably follow up with more information in a week or less in a separate email.

PRAY for FYROM Macedonia

I am being drawn toward the poor for our Macedonian prayer points. Let us pray for the poor, orphans, widows and down trodden of Macedonia.

Macedonia’s Economy: Macedonia has maintained macroeconomic stability with low inflation, but it has so far lagged the region in attracting foreign investment and creating jobs, despite making extensive fiscal and business sector reforms. Official unemployment remains high at 32%, but may be overstated based on the existence of an extensive gray market (illegal trade), estimated to be more than 20% of GDP that is not captured by official statistics.

I was overwhelmed by all the scriptures in the Bible concerning the poor.

Psalm 41:1
Blessed is he who considers the poor; The LORD will deliver him in time of trouble.
1) Let us go beyond considering the poor and ask for the lifting up of the poor in Macedonia. Lord, how can we get involved.

1 Samuel 2:7
The LORD makes poor and makes rich; He brings low and lifts up.
2) It is true, the Lord makes the poor and makes the rich, but we want to pray into the second part of the verse; “He brings low and lifts up”. Lord, we know You desire to bless all the people of Macedonia so we pray that both rich and poor would be lifted up.

1 Samuel 2:8
He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the beggar from the ash heap, To set them among princes And make them inherit the throne of glory.
3) God knows how to bless whom He wants to bless. God chooses the lowly and blesses them. Let us pray for that poor would give their financial concerns unto the Lord and therefore be able to receive His blessings.

Psalm 10:2
The wicked in his pride persecutes the poor; Let them be caught in the plots which they have devised.
4) The wicked rich persecute the poor. Let us pray that the rich of Macedonia would be humbled before the poor. Lord, expose the financial schemes to rob the poor.

Psalm 12:5
“For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now I will arise,” says the LORD; “I will set him in the safety for which he yearns.”
5) Let us stand in the gap and join in their yearnings. I truly believe your prayers are highly considered by the Lord when He decides to bless a people or nation. Let us agree with the Lord and ask for His favor on the poor of Macedonia. Lord, we ask that the spirit of poverty be broken over Macedonia.

Romans 15:26
For it pleased those from Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor among the saints who are in Jerusalem.
6) There was a time when Macedonians gave to the poor of Jerusalem. (These were likely Greek Macedonians) Lord, we ask that churches outside Macedonia would repay a blessing for a blessing that was given long ago.

Luke 14:13
But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind.
7) Let the churches be full of feasting and let the poor be invited to sit at the Lord’s table.

8) With 32% unemployment in Macedonia, Lord, we ask for Your help. Lord. Even teach Christians how to acquire wealth.

Psalm 72:4
He will bring justice to the poor of the people; He will save the children of the needy, And will break in pieces the oppressor.
9) Lord, we pray for the children of Macedonia. May the Gospel be presented to them. We pray for Christians that will go out into the neighbors and present Jesus to the children.

10) Lord, we pray for the widows and orphans. May the churches take the responsibility to minister to them as You commanded.

Pray for GREECE

Greece is the country where the concept of democracy was birthed (Pericles) and philosophy was developed (Socrates, Platon, etc.). She gave birth to Alexander the Great of Macedonia (330 BC) who spread Greek literature throughout the whole world.

The Lord honored the Greek language with the New Testament being written in it.

50 AD
The apostles Paul, Silas and others who were also Jewish disciples of Jesus, along with the Greek disciples, Titus and Timothy (Titus 1:5; 2 Corinthians 7:6), brought to Greece the message of the Crucified One as well as the experience of Pentecost (Acts 16--18; 1 Corinthians 12--14).
They first visited northern Greece (Macedonia) by way of Neapolis (modern day Kavala) Acts:16:11. They preached the Gospel in Philippi, Thessalonica, and Berea. From northern Greece they traveled to southern Greece and ministered in Athens and Corinth.

Today the Pentecostal Church in Greece numbers about 12,000 members. There are approximately 200 churches along with an equal number of house churches located throughout the villages and cities of Greece.

1) In the 20th century the Lord visited Greece through the Pentecostal message and many returned to the true faith. Lord, remember the investment and seeds planted by the 20th century church.
2) Churches and movements tend to loose the fire of God as time passes. Let us pray for a 21st century visitation of the Holy Spirit.
3) Let there be a new sound in their music; the sound of heaven that reaches the hearts of the younger Greeks.
4) Christians that submit themselves unto the Lord in worship experience God’s joy and are restored to righteousness. Job 33:26 “He prays to God, and He is favorable to him, so that he sees His face with joy; for [God] restores to him his righteousness (his uprightness and right standing with God--with its joys).” (Amplified Bible) Lord, release worship into the churches of Greece. Lord, let that worship lead to intercessory prayer for Greece.
5) Poverty is increasing in Greece. Serious financial problems have hit Greece hard. Plus there has been an influx of immigrants. Since the government does not have the money to provide much relief, may the church arise to meet the needs.
6) Lord we pray that the churches would seek You for a plan of how to reach the Greek public that are suffering.

I may be wrong, but my research of Orthodox Church doctrine shows that man is saved through his communion with God not so much the sacrificial blood of Christ in atonement. I could not find the words “saved” or “salvation” used in reference to restoration to the Father. I quote the Very Rev. J. Richard Ballew of the Orthodox Church as he describes evangelism, "As much as anything else, evangelism is bringing people to active participation in liturgical worship and prayer." He describes evangelism as bringing men into, or subjecting men to a ritual of pious acts for cleansing.

7) Pray for the Greek Orthodox Church. May the Lord have mercy on them and open their spiritually blind eyes. Most Greeks ignore the GOC because there is no power within. Some attribute magical powers to the icons which borders on witchcraft. Let us pray for a manifestation of the true trinity in their mist. Lord we cry out for the Orthodox Christians, may You come visit them in power and revelation.
8) Lord when Paul and Silas were in jail in Phillipi, You demonstrated Your mighty power by shaking the Earth. Lord we ask for a shaking that would not kill and destroy but bring forth abundant Life. Lord we ask for a spiritual earthquake.

FreeBalkans.com is all about promoting Freedom in the Balkan countries. Since the fall of communism we have seen more freedom than any other time in history. There is a continuing problem with the nationalist churches. They want no other expression of religion in their countries and they tend to pressure the governments to treat other churches as sects. This blame is laid at the feet of the Roman Catholic and Orthodox churches.

9) Let us pray that these state churches would not feel threatened and would seek dialog with other churches.
10) May there actually be an evangelical expression that leaves room for the moving of the Holy Spirit in these Catholic and Orthodox churches.

Pray for Croatia

Croatian Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor survived a no-confidence vote in Parliament. Her administration has been loosing support due to the slow pace of economic recovery in the wake of the global financial crisis.

1) Let us pray about the economic situation in Croatia.
a. We pray for government policies that encourage the market system to operate freely.
b. We pray that world corporate leaders and economic decision makers would be drawn to Croatian goods and services. We pray that investment would flow into the country.
c. We pray that the people of Croatia would invest, produce and buy and sale Croatian goods.
d. We pray that the righteous would not go hungry. May the Christians first hope in the Lord and believe for increase. - Psalm 37:25
I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread.
There was a good report that came out Oct.10, 2010 for Croatia; during the first nine months of the year, exports rose 13.5% compared to the same period last year, while imports declined 3.6%.

2) Let us pray for the churches. May the Lord walk through the churches letting His manifest presence be seen in their mist. May all doubts be vanquished.
3) We pray that the gifts of the Spirit be stirred up in the saints. Let the Croatian Christians mature in the Lord’s character.
4) Let us pray for the schools in Croatia. May the door be open to the Gospel.
5) Lord, we ask that a hunger for You would rise in the youth. Lord, we pray for a great out pouring of grace upon the youth of Croatia.
6) Expose the lies of the enemy. Save them before their hope is shattered.
7) We pray that the youth in the churches be given a burden for their lost friends in the schools and in their neighborhoods.
8) Lord, anoint your evangelist in Croatia. Put fire in their hearts for the lost and dying. Lord, save this present generation, let this be their time of visitation.
9) Let us pray that the churches would not shrink away into their buildings for the winter but would go into the marketplace to make friends and share the Gospel.
10) Oh, Lord, can You give breath to Old Churches. Buildings that represent You but are void of life. Breath on these great structures new life.
